We had a great weeks holiday in this gite, it's well equipped and has spectacular views from the patio. We know a lot more about William the conqueror now.
A charming well equipped little cottage with a spectacular view and a good location for exploring all of Normandys attractions. We would definately recommend the gite to others and have really enjoyed our stay.
But, the only thing to consider would be the upper floor and stairwell, although instantly appealing and sturdy, are fairly narrow and have limited headroom, so the Gite may not be suitable for all. It is however, suitable for school age children and there is a good selection of toys and games in the twin bedroom.
However, a key positive for us was that Falaise itself is a lovely, authentic town with enough restaurants and shops for our needs. It is certainly not a tourist trap and offered welcome respite from the busier Normandy attractions, so you may need some of the standard grade French you thought you'd forgotten!
