Unfortunately we found this beach towards the end of our holiday after traipsing the endless journeys down Woolacoombe beach to reach the dog friendly area ! It's absolutely beautiful , long stretches of clean golden sands , a few rockey areas if you want them to base around and clear blue sea . £8 to park in June but I didn't care as the beach is so easy to reach and the toilet block immaculate. The Dogs had a wonderful time and so did we "Happy Days" :)

OK, so we paid £7.00 to park the car for a day, but that meant we were within 50m of the beach. Not bad for a day’s entertainment for us and our grandchildren. Dog friendly too, with the larger section of the beach available for dogs in June. Handy shop sold us ice creams too. Not sure what more I could ask for!

Lovely beach stretching over to Woolacombe and quieter than that side. There is a beach cafe and gift shop which whilst expensive was nice. You do have to go over some rocks to get to the beach altho one way has a slipway with just a few rocks. People with mobility problems may find this a bit tricky. There are no lifeguards this side but a few more rocky pools. We were staying in Woolacombe and walked over the beach to putsborough which is roughly 3 miles long. Another day we also started from putsborough to do the baggy point walk around and into Croyde. Takes about 1 hour/ 1-5 hour.

we have been coming in for many years with our daughters who have all now left home but we still keep coming back. The facilities are great-amazing toilets-good beach shop and cafe-and a gorgeous expanse of golden sands and safe surfing

Beware of the car park charges. This car park is privately owned, and the owner decides on the price for the day depending on the weather and conditions of the surf. The set price for the day is £8.50, whether you are there for a few hours or the day. Over the bank holiday weekend, the prices fluctuated day by day as the weather changed - possibly illegal? It was more expensive to park at 3pm on the Sunday, than it was arriving at 9am on the Saturday. Complete nonsense.
