Laura & Alessandro, the owners, were most welcoming even though we arrived early and Apartment Sole is just great. Very spacious sun terrace with views to the sea, sun loungers, outdoor dining area and barbecue area. We enjoyed cooking fish outside. Great to have a washing machine and kitchen facilities were good too although we did eat out a lot too because there was so much fish and someone had to eat it; the local prawns are stunning!
The beach chairs were a nice touch and was good to use the hire bikes to explore locally.
Punta Secca is charming and relaxed; was nice to eat ice cream while watching visitors taking selfies in front of Montalbano's house. Nice restaurants locally especially Sjabica & Sand. Dined very well at Quatro Quarti (not sure if spelled correctly) in Marina da Ragusa (prawns and langoustines).
Ragusa Ibla definitely worth a trip; stunning town.
Also found a calming small wood that's worth a trip just north of Punta Bracetto. Park in the lay-bys and walk or cycle in. Very near the beach and the pine forest has lots of feathered birds.
We plan to return soon.
This accommodation is spotlessly clean and very well equipped. The owners Laura and Alessandro are very helpful and even met us at the airport as our flight arrived late in the evening. Laura speaks very good english which makes it easy for english speaking guests to stay with them. I would thoroughly recommend anyone who wants exceptional accommodation near a good beach and close to all the beautiful towns featured in the Inspector Montalbano series to stay here. Thank you Laura and Alessandro for a wonderful holiday.
