“Get away from it all paradise with every need met”
Reviewed 19 September 2014 for a stay in September 2014

This idyllic modern cottage was equipped with everything you could need for a short or long stay. Nick, the Owner was willing and more than helpful to show how everything worked and nothing was too much trouble. We need a complete break apart from having to manage a Wedding in Cirencester on the Saturday and this was in an idyllic, peaceful setting which was still within ample driving distance of Cirencester and its exciting finds. The perfect setting for anyone with a couple of 10-18 year old 'children' who wanted to learn more about Roman life (in the nearby Cirencester) and for any parent who wanted to give their child some lovely country walks whilst visiting interesting towns and villages. Likewise a perfect stay for a couple who want to get away from the maddening crowds and have a bit of peace and quiet whilst having all mod 'cons' around them. We have recharged our batteries and would recommend this property which is in first class condition to anyone who wants a break. Thank you, we will be back.

“Peaceful Perfection in the Cotswolds”

The Padd is absolutely beautiful, furnished with everything one could possibly need. Comfy beds with fluffy duvets & crisp white bedding. Plenty of closet space and simply gorgeous bathrooms. A truly wonderful place from which to explore all the beauty of the Cotswolds. Close to the historical town of Cirencester for markets and pubs, not to mention the lovely villages all within a short drive from the peaceful village of Ampney Crucis. Nick and Tracey thoughtfully provide a brochure in the Padd with advice on what to see and do in the area and are more than happy to assist with anything you may need. We would love to come back for another stay in the Padd.

“Beautiful accommodation, lovely location, gracious & helpful hosts! Who could ask for more?”

This self-contained accommodation is indeed very spacious and comfortable and beautifully appointed to a very high standard. Ampney Crucis is a delightful location and a fantastic base to explore the Cotswolds, Bath, Oxford and surrounding towns and villages.

Situated on the very edge of the village The Padd overlooks some beautiful fields, it is quiet and relaxing affording stunning views of the spectacular sunsets, most enjoyable.

Nick was a very helpful and gracious host, being very flexible to accommodate our ever-changing arrival time. The breakfast provisions he provided were also greatly appreciated the following morning.

We would highly recommend The Padd!

Nick and his wife are very friendly and helpfull The Padd has every thing you need and more. There many places to vist from the cottage Stonshenge, Bath, Strafford upon Avon and lots of villages. There are pubs with great food along the way. We did a overseas Vistors pass from English Herritage well worth the money. We shall return one day.
