This is the second time we stayed at Chalets de la Playa and we still love it like it was the first time.
Loved, loved, loved the pool. It was so nice and refreshing and not crowded at all; in fact, we were the only ones there (probably because it was Thursday). Our granddaughter loved it and the play area.
The apartment was perfect. It was really convenient being on the first floor since my wife uses a cane. The handicap parking was directly behind the backyard so my son went through the front to lock the door, my wife & I would leave through the back.
Jessica, the owner, was really quick to respond. We had a question the first night we got there @ 8:30pm and she answered it by 9:00pm
It was very convenient that the apartment had a washing machine & dryer as we were able to wash right before we left and not bring home dirty laundry.
The apartment is beautiful. There are two very nice pools walking distance and a gym. There was only one working treadmill out of the three . There is a kids play area and a smaller kids play area near the apartment. The owner is very nice. The beach is walking distance but better to wear swimming shoes due to the bottom of the ocean being very rocky, to get to the good part of the beach is about a 4 minute drive away. There is a patio with chairs and tables to hang out in There were only a couple of concerns during the stay. The blankets provided were twin size but that was due to the cleaning crew not putting the proper blankets. Some of the beds are thin and seems like they're more built for children. The bed in the master bedroom is comfortable. There are air conditioners in the 3 bedrooms but not in the kitchen, living room area. There's wifi in some areas, like the gym but not in the apartment. You need a car to get around. The apartment is 35 minutes from the airport, about 40 minutes to Old San Juan and about an hour to El Yunque rainforest and the Bacardi Factory.
