“LIGHT, FREEDOM and COMFORT”
Reviewed 18 September 2014 for a stay in August 2014

LIGHT, FREEDOM AND COMFORT were the overall impressions in this delightful apartment. The huge open plan layout, the vast picture windows opening onto the mountains and the valley, views from every window, the south facing aspect of the huge terrace and dining area, suited all sun-lovers delectably. Our boxes of fresh fruit and veges from the nearby market, overflowing onto the island prep space in the large professional kitchen, made meal preparation a pleasure. In the evening we curled up in front of a wood-burning stove, so feeling cosy and warm. It was spotlessly clean when we arrived. The landlord was extremely friendly and helpful, seeming to want to insure we had a very happy stay. I recommend you book it now.

“Gorgeous apartment in pretty Historic French village & delicious food market!”
Reviewed 18 September 2014 for a stay in June 2014

Ahhhh I love summer holidays in Briancon, and staying in this apartment made our summer! We had such a great time going on loads of different adventures, the options there in Serre Chevalier are just endless!! We went hiking, hired bikes, went on the BMX track, went swimming in a huge natural lake surrounded by mountains. Climbed up the old fort that's hundreds of years old. Bought loads of amazing French food and fruit & veg at the market and pigged on French baguettes & brie and wine all week! What a holiday!!!!!

“Lovley apartment, good value and an excellent base for an activity holiday with teenagers”
Reviewed 2 September 2014 for a stay in July 2014

I would highly recommend this holiday rental. We spent a week in this apartment in the centre of Briancon - two families with 5 children ages 10 - 15. The apartment was easy to find and very comfortable. Supermarket is just around the corner. The decking area was great for meals out in the sunshine. The town was not too touristy, and the locals very friendly. The children went rock climbing on the Via Ferrata; we went up the mountain on a cable car and spent a lovely day walking back down through beautiful countryside. Swimming pool is within walking distance - open air and indoor for a rainy day. You can canoe down the mountain, or go mountain biking - I recommend having a good look at the Tourist Information website before you go. There is a You Tube video of this property and the one next door which gives a good description of the property. Overall we had the impression the owner cared about us having a good time!

Liked best: As we expected from the advertising. A great holiday base and very nicely furnished.
Liked least: Service at the locality was not brilliant e.g. no clean tea towels / dish cloths. Also the whole flat shakes when next door have their washing machine on!

“Perfect base for a family holiday in the snow.”
Reviewed 28 February 2014 for a stay in February 2014

We stayed in Apartment Klimt with our two children in early February and had the best holiday in utmost comfort. Not only were conditions on the mountain absolutely perfect, we also had the good fortune to be staying in this beautiful apartment with stunning views and all mod cons. The bathrooms and kitchen were extremely well appointed, the beds comfortable and the wood burning stove was the icing on the cake. Klimt has everything you need for a luxurious self catering holiday and we will definitely be back. The owners were also a pleasure to deal with, friendly but extremely professional and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you!

“Great place, incredible snow!”
Reviewed 18 February 2014 for a stay in February 2014

They say Serre Chevalier gets 300 days of sun a year but when we were there it was all about the snow - 6 powder days in a row! Apartment Klimt is in a great location, right in the middle of town and only a few minutes walk from the bubble that takes you right up to the top of the Briancon end of the linked Serre Chevalier network. The terrace has a great view and gets lots of sun, when it wasn't snowing. The flat is newly kitted out with a modern kitchen and features two ensuite double rooms and a third room with bunks for the kids. It was a bit early in the season for us to sit out on the terrace with a beer after our days in the snow, so when we came home we got the wood fired stove on and enjoyed watching the Olympics on Sky with a roaring fire in the background. What a great holiday.
