We stayed for a week over Xmas and it felt like home from home. Located in the peaceful and serene Dorchester countryside, the apartment was spacious, clean and with all the conveniences you need while traveling. We had two young kids with us and they loved the place. Highly recommeded
Really nice decor and surprisingly large rooms, owners provided everything we needed in the kitchen for a comfortable stay and were really friendly and welcoming. Would recommend staying at Rusper House to anyone.

The Annexe at Rusper House is not your usual stuffy old B&B; it's a modern, luxurious self-contained apartment. The bedroom has a double bed and tonnes of storage space; the bathroom has a bath with shower, again tonnes of storage space and good quality toiletries; the open-plan living/dining room is a great place to chill out in the evenings, complete with kitchen area so you can prepare your breakfast and other meals if you wish. There's even a patio area, which unfortunately we couldn't use because of the very wintry weather.
You get a fantastic continental breakfast (a huge bowl of fresh fruit, a selection of cereals, bread, jams, yogurts, fruit juices, eggs, biscuits and a variety of hot drinks) which you can prepare at your leisure - no more setting the alarm clock when you're on holiday! When you return from your day's adventure you'll find everything cleaned away and restocked.
Rusper House is in a very pretty village where you feel like you're a million miles away from the hustle and bustle yet is only a short drive away from many attractions. We visited the Tank Museum at Bovington, the Royal Signals Museum at Blandford and spent a day exploring the beautiful coast (including the lighthouse at Portland Bill and Durdle Door).
All in all I can highly recommend The Annexe, for all the reasons above and especially for the warm welcome we received from Jo (she even called in later in our stay to make sure we were ok and had everything we needed). Jo and Martin have created a really beautiful holiday home and we wish them every success.

Me and my partner went to Rusper House B and B with our 11 week old baby and really enjoyed our stay.
The Annexe is spacious and modern, with open plan lounge and kitchen which has all utensils needed to fully cater (although pans are limited to a small frying pan and 2 small saucepans, so take some of your own if you plan to do any proper cooking.)
The Annexe has it's own entrance and is self contained, the garden/porch area is small but adequate for 2 people to sit out and have a glass of wine or dinner.
The place was very clean and really well looked after with a modern bathroom, lots of storage and off street parking.
Jo and martin were very accommodating and I'm sure if you had any questions they would be more than happy to help. (We had no reason to contact them during our stay as everything had been provided that we required) Jo even lent us a travel cot and a play mat for our son for no extra charge, both were clean and looked nearly new :)
We had a slight issue with the shower going too hot or too cold, but they have offered us 15% off our next stay which is great customer service.
We couldn't find a DVD player in the annexe, but we had a laptop with us which we used instead.
The DIY breakfast consisted of eggs, yoghurts, cereal, bread etc and was more than adequate - when we returned from our days out all of our breakfast had been cleared and the place had been serviced which was great. Heating worked really well too which is a bonus if you visit in the winter months or have small children.
In terms of location the b and b is only 30-40 mins drive from Lyme Regis, Durdle Door, Lulworth Cove, Swanage etc so is perfectly suited to day trips to the local beaches and coastal trails etc.
It was a lovely place that we highly recommend and would definitely visit again. Great value for money too, this isn't just a room in a b and b, you get a cosy 'flat' to stay in.
