This was an addition to our trip to Doolin and we are so glad we did! The Inis Our and Cliffs tour was the perfect way to conclude our tour of Doolin. The view of the cliffs from the water is not to be missed. We booked in advance and it was simple and easy to do. Finding parking was a little tricky but it was alright in the end. The staff in the ticket office and on the boat were all friendly and helpful. Thanks for a great visit!

Ferry ports usually thrive on chaos and Doolin is no different. Give yourself plenty of time before sailing time if your travelling Doolin2Aran ferries, or any of the ferry companies, from Doolin to the Aran Islands, that will help you to be less stressed. Once we got going on this glorious day everything was fine, the sailing was smooth and the staff were very friendly and knowledgable. And it’s worth it when you get to the Islands. The pic is of Inis Meáin.

On 5/13/18 my husband and I took the Doolin2Aran Ferry from Doolin to Inisheer. We had made a reservation the day before at the Visitors' Center in Doolin. We only wanted to visit Inisheer and then return to Doolin but we were sold a ticket that would take us also on a tour of the Cliffs of Mohr which we had already seen on a previous visit. The trip over was rocky and for non-sailors such as us and most of the other passengers that day, frightening but at the same time exhilarating. It makes me seasick just to think about it. However, the peril of the trip was worth the effort because the island was beautiful, friendly, and unspoiled. We ate lunch in the only pub, took a trap ride offered by Michael O'Flarety and his horse, Paidric, danced in the sunshine with some locals, and went to mass in the tiny church. Then we wandered back to the dock to see if there was any way we could skip the Cliffs because we simply wanted a safe return trip. Doolin2Aran Ferry people were so kind, accommodating, and friendly. "Of course you can," was the response. The guy on the ship had us sit outside to help with the seasickness and the captain even refunded the additional money we were charged for the unnecessary trip to the Cliffs. We had a comparatively easy return trip with extra money in our pocket due to the kindness of Doolin2Aran Ferries.
