“Relaxing, re-energising break :-)”
Reviewed 10 September 2014 for a stay in August 2014

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at The Stables, Ness. I really appreciated the communication between myself and Karen prior to the trip and all the additional information she provided us with. Although, i didn't get to meet her i felt very welcomed and the accomodation was very inviting. Me and my partner just needed a few days away from the stresses of London life and it was great to just relax in a beautiful location and watch a few movies from the fantastic DVD collection Karen had on offer.

Town was nearby with banks and shops to do some food shopping. Although we didn't eat out there were quite a few restaurants and pubs that catered if required. Good location for all the things wanted to do, very short drive to Cheshire oaks and not to far away from chester city centre.

Will definitely be back in the future.

Thank you.. Seya & Luke. xx

The Stables was an idyllic break - there is nothing we could fault about it.
The Stables is in Ness, which to be honest we had never heard of before coming to stay, but we would happily visit again (maybe in the summer so we could explore all the local attractions like the botanical gardens and RSPB reserve).
Karen is a lovely person (having popped round to welcome us and been available to offer help/advice whenever we needed it) and owns the most wonderful, romantic hideaway.
The Stables is not only beautiful, but also incredibly well looked after and very well equipped. Sitting beside a roaring fire and watching films will stay as a blissful memory for us. The fire was prepped and ready to be lit when we arrived and there was a great selection of films too.The whole place was incredibly comfortable and tranquil. There's a lovely pub just a five minute walk away, great if you don't want to stay in and cook for yourself!
I could go into detail about everything - the fab fluffy robes hanging in the bedroom; the amazingly comfortable bed; huge bath and shower; the beautiful little kitchen... But really you should just book a weekend away and enjoy it all for yourself.
We will definitely be returning soon!
Thank you for everything, Karen.
