“Excellent Accomodation”

Dunfanaghy is a lovely part of Ireland, with amazing scenery and lovely walks. Our trip was made all the better with the excellent accommodation at Cliffside Retreat Ocean View. The views accross Sheephaven Bay were incredible. It was the perfect place to come back to after a long walk, or an evening out to dinner. Marie Jose was there to greet us when we arrived, and very helpful and provided extra bits and pieces to make our stay more comfortable and enjoyable. Highly recommended.

“Awesome views - Excellent relaxing break”
Reviewed 31 August 2014 for a stay in August 2014

The location is brilliant - very secluded and the views over the bay were second to none. The apartment is just the right size for 2 people and we had a great time. It's close enough to Dunfanaghy town for meals out - but we were always glad to get back to the apartment to relax! The property is very well maintained with a high level of comfort. We especially enjoyed seeing the hillside sheep!
We were there for 3 nights and we left feeling very refreshed. Thanks so much for making our stay so enjoyable.

“Priceless view and secluded location”
Reviewed 11 August 2014 for a stay in July 2014

This little place is located in the most beautiful surroundings; if you want rest and total relaxation then this is the place to go. The view is stunning and there are no unwanted noises to disrupt your peace....you can feel the stress leaving you as you look out over the sea. The bed was so comfortable and the bath&shower were also very high quality. The only thing we would have liked was to be able to use a bbq as there are no cooking facilities and because it's so beautiful you don't really want to go out anywhere else!!There are absolutely beautiful beaches close by, Glenveagh castle isn't too far either and it is a stunning walk.

“Quiet beauty at the edge of Ireland”
Reviewed 15 July 2014 for a stay in July 2014

This is a fabulous place for a short stay. The bedroom is spacious and comfortable, the bathroom luxurious and stylish. The facilities to make coffee, tea and toast are basic but fine for breakfast and lunch. Dunfanaghy is close enough by and boasts some great eating places. The winner is the conservatory facing out over the ocean. Here you can sit for hours watching the light change, and the weather fronts roll in and over the land. You are at the edge of Ireland (and Europe) and feel the sense of wild isolation.
Donegal is full of contrasts and within an easy drive are great places to walk, explore, and visit.
If you want a break from stressful work, noisy cities, or anything else distracting, then it is hard to think of anywhere better. We will be back
