“Cosy cottage in perfect location for peaceful retreat with friendly helpful hosts.”
Reviewed 12 September 2014 for a stay in September 2014

We just arrived home from a one week stay in Goilin Cottage - Sept 2014. We would like to thank Senan and Emily for such a warm welcome and the thoughtful gesture of tea and scones on our arrival. The cottage is really cosy and immaculately clean and completely equipped to cater for all our needs. The cottage is in perfect location between Lahinch and Miltown Malba where you will find all you bars and restaurants, we would recommend Supervalu in Miltown Malba for groceries which is quiet big with friendly staff. There is a lovely little beach to the back of the cottage just a few minutes walk which is completely secluded. Although the cottage is central to the nearby towns it is also in a lovely secluded area surrounded by fields and farm animals. If the weather is sunny it's one of the most relaxing and peaceful places to sit on the bench which has sun all day. During our stay we enjoyed most the time in the cottage, the walks on the beach at the back of the house in the mornings when the tide was out, the cliff walk at white strand, meeting the extremely friendly neighbours, our friendly chats with Senan, Emily and family. We really enjoyed our stay at Golin Cottage and we will be back

“A piece of heaven on the wild Atlantic Way”
Reviewed 2 September 2014 for a stay in August 2014

Looking for that special place in Co Clare? Well this location has it all. A beautiful cottage very tastefully decorated and exceptionally clean. A great welcome when you arrive from Emily and Senan who live nearby and always there to help with any queries you may have. At the back of the house a country road leads to a lovely beach part of the ' The Wild Atlantic Way'. Traditional music is not hard to find with the birthplace of the great piper Willie Clancy of Miltown Malbay a few kilometres away. It's also a great surfing area with classes available in the nearby Launch. This cottage is the perfect retreat to relax, read, cycle, or just enjoy the beautiful Co. Clare.

“ideal for recreation and trips throughout the area”
Reviewed 16 August 2014 for a stay in July 2014

Thank you Emily and Senan for your warm welcome with tea and scones! The small cottage is exactly like the pictures, tasteful, comfortable and clean. It is an ideal location to recreate and for trips throughout this lovely area. Our hosts were very friendly, fulfilled every wish and answered every question we had and gave us good advices for places to visit. We would highly recommend this cottage to other couples.

Hi Heike & Harry. Thank you for your kind review. Glad you enjoyed your stay. Just to clarify the electricity in the bathroom. I assume you mean a socket. I am afraid it is part of the Irish building regulations that electrical sockets are not allowed in bathrooms for health & safety reasons. Hope you got back to Germany safe and well! All the best for now. Emily & Senan

“Amazing”
Reviewed 7 August 2014 for a stay in May 2014

Both me and my friend stayed at this charming cottage near Lahinch Co Clare. We could not have had a better holiday. When we arrived Emily and Senan had tea and buns prepared. To be honest we travel around a lot but and we seldom come across this added hospitality, what a treat. The cottage is exactly as it is in the pictures. Its a delightful retreat. The cottage is surrounded with lovely green fields with farm animals grazing away so contently. At the rear of the cottage, there is a shore/beach. I paint a lot so i spent a few evenings down there painting pictures of the breath taking view of Lahinch/Liscannor and the Atlantic Ocean! We travelled to all the local hot spots. The Cliffs of Moher, The Burren etc, and we even got time to visit the Aran Islands. We really could not have asked for a better holiday. Emily and Senan could not have been more helpful, we really had a great time.

“Such a Cosy Cottage”
Reviewed 4 August 2014 for a stay in June 2014

My husband and I stayed for a week in Goilin Cottage in June 2014. We both wanted a place that was a base for touring around Clare. When we arrived we were tired as we had quiet a distance to drive. We were warmly welcomed by Senan and Emily and they had prepared tea and buns for us, which was a really nice surprise as we didn't get to stop for anything at the shops. The cottage is really cosy and immaculately clean. The kitchen is well equipped with all utensils. There is a lovely little beach to the back of the cottage just a few minutes walk away. Lahinch is only a few minutes drive and has lots of lovely bars and restaurants. We really enjoyed our stay at Golin Cottage and we will be back.
