“TOP DRAWER”
Reviewed 3 October 2016 for a stay in September 2016

second stay at the old monastry, as I say TOP DRAWER,thank you bill and Brenda.and great to have a nice place, so that my cousins who live in,and around Youghal can find the time to suit them, to meet up for a drink and a chat, mind, when they are all talking with that accent I defy anyone to understand what on earth is being said, lol, shall be back next year,so so love this area, and family, the home of my father. Thank you again.

“Fantastic Apartment, Fantastic location, fantastic Holiday”

I have to admit this is one of the best properties we have stayed in really well equipped and comfortable and as mentioned in other reviews comfy beds which is a real bonus. The availability of all the mod cons (Kitchen, WIFI, Sky) makes a real difference.
Bill could not have been more accommodating in the communication beforehand and the info sheet on the apartment and area provided is great.
This was out first visit to Co.Cork and we will be back. Yes we were very lucky with the weather and able to make the most of the beach but the location of the apartment makes the difference.
We fished for Mackerel every night from the sea wall with a lot of success (my son is now hooked- bad pun sorry) with the rods provided allowing all to have a go and made full use of the excellent restaurant and hostelries in the town (Clancy's a must - great food, McCarthy's at the Imperial hotel - great Guinness).
All in all a fantastic break and one I would recommend to all

“A home from home.”
Reviewed 11 August 2016 for a stay in July 2016

We enjoyed our week in the Waterside Apartments, especially the lovely views of the estuary and out to sea. The apartment is luxuriously appointed, with a gorgeous living and dining room. The kitchen is equipped with everything one might need to cook even the most complicated of dishes and the breakfast area is a pleasant place to eat, whilst taking in the views. The double en suite bedroom was very comfortable and has a very good power shower. The twin bedroom was a little 'cosy' for two adults. The main bathroom had the advantage of both a washer and dryer, which we found very helpful. We were also able to make use of the wifi and free landline calls.
The apartment is in a quiet area and yet only a short walk into town or over the hill and down to the beach. We found the people here very friendly and polite. There is a good selection of independent shops and supermarkets within walking distance and the tourist information office was helpful in providing details of cultural events and places to visit.
The apartment was a good base from which to visit the local area, including Cork and Waterford. Lismore Gardens was well worth the visit. There are a number of restaurants in the town but we enjoyed eating at Luigi's at Bella Roma for the authentic Scicilian food and unpretentious atmosphere.
All in all, a good experience.

“Classy apartment, well located and everything you could need for a break.”
Reviewed 2 August 2016 for a stay in June 2016

Travelled down to Youghal for a weeks get away from it break and were not disappointed with the apartment. Whilst the outside of the development needs a good clean and repaint the inside made up for it. Well equipped with everything you could need it is very stylish and comfortable, benefiting from great views down the sound. Thoroughly enjoyed our time there including meeting next doors dogs who were a treat. No problems with getting the keys and easy to find with lots of lovely walks around the old town. The area is great and trips to Cork, Limerick, Castle Martyr, Lismore, Ardmore, Dungarvan and Kinsale all easy travelling. No hesitation in recommending this super apartment. To cap the holiday off on the last morning we were treated to a display of 4 dolphins swimming in the sound only c. 50m from the end of the garden area. Awesome!

“Home from Home”
Reviewed 29 April 2016 for a stay in April 2016

Extremely well equipped and comfortable apartment with stunning setting on the River Blackwater. Short walk into the town with great bars and restaurants - friendly folks at every turn. A great base for touring the South Coast.
My wife is disabled and to avoid the two steps inside the front door we simply entered and left the apartment via the back door which has a single small step to gain access.
