In the middle of virtually no-where Donegal (Ireland), is Irish country food worth stopping for at Larkin’s that’s hard to criticise. The Surf and Turf was amazing with sea food chowder, Steak and Prawns and veggies. All beautifully cooked and waited by Shaun and Aofie. T’is a pleasant old pub with a unique mix of architecture and true Irish atmosphere - will come again when travelling by or a return to Glenveagh Castle.

Visited here with my two kids. Staff were amazing, particularly Shaun and a girl with really long dread lock hair. They were so attentive without being over bearing. My kids were colouring and they took one of the pictures and stuck it up on the wall, absolutely made my kids day. Now down to the nitty gritty, I had hake with potatoes and veggies, good size portion, tasted amazing, followed by Bailey's cheese cake which was top class. Kids had sausages with potatoes and veggies and ate the lot. Great meal, excellent value for money, I will be back in the near future, very family friendly. Highly recommend to all.

We ate here on Friday night, the beef roast was simply amazing so we came back Saturday evening. The food was yet again fantastic but we were really disappointed in how a senior member of staff treated a younger member, yes it was busy but there is ways to deal with new/younger staff learning and that man doesn’t know how. My rating wouldn’t most definitely have been 5 had it not being for this.

We visit larkins today for a lunch as we heard great feedback about the bar and food.
Friendly staff
Ordered 2 x soups
1 risotto
1 turkey and ham
1 side order of chips

Soup was amazing - bread roll was stale and dry

Turkey n ham was lovely.
No ham!! Lots of Turkey. But no ham.
Would have thought a roast potatoe with it too.

No chips came.
No one came to check if everything was ok.

Overall the food was nice.
This is only a feedback. Not a complaint.

Thank Brian B
