This place offers history and a bit of fitness. The house has deep history and can be viewed in a short time. The walk takes about 2 hours and takes you through heavily wooded, sandy beach, surrounded by large rocks and paved roads among the pastures of sheep. I can be a muddy in some areas and the path is not always clearly marked. A map of the walk is recommended. The walk has many fantastic views so picture taking is a must. If you need a little exercise during holiday, this will provide it.

Travelled to the beach in the rain and bad weather. Swam in the sea it was truly amazing even though it was raining and foggy - think actually it was even better as there was not many people there. A little piece of heaven.

So lovely to get off the Ring of Kerry and walk along the beautiful beach in Derrynane. The colour of the water and the colours of the surrounding mountains were magical. Great place to stretch one's legs and get away from the tour buses and tourist shops.

Situated on the ring of Kerry this is a lovely scenic beach to visit. With nice walks and big sand dunes it's a lovely quiet peaceful place. Would definitely return again!
