Desmond House is in downtown Kinsale which is a very quaint village in County Cork. Just offshore the Lusitania was sunk. The parking is on street unless you have a motorcycle. The house is very well kept up and the breakfast was excellent. Easy walk to the harbor area and restaurants.

We just recently came back from Ireland. There was my wife and I, her elderly parents, and our two young boys, 7 & 9. From check in to check out, both Grainne and Paddy were gracious hosts and made us feel welcome and part of the family. Lovely home, with huge rooms, and an amazing breakfast. Her scones are a must-try! Can't wait to visit again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! The owners, Grainne and Paddy were excellent hosts, who took care of all our needs, with a wonderful sense of knowing exactly what we wanted to do and where we wanted to dine. We thank them for their wonderful suggestions and making us feel at home. The entire place is exquisite and it's clear they've taken great care to design their B&B with great style. Highly recommended!

Stayed at the Desmond House for 2 nights, and found it an excellent place to stay. Room was spacious, bed comfy, and all appointments spot on. Fast WiFi. Hosts were gracious and very helpful in doing all the things we wanted to do in the area. Parking was across the street in the church lot. And breakfast was superb - scones and a large menu of things to eat. Guests got to know one another during breakfast and traded stories and travel hints. Met up with fellow guests later in Dingle. Tricky finding this house as well as anything else in Kinsale as they do not seem to mark their streets. But ask and people will direct you. Can’t go wrong in Desmond House. Book early as their 4 rooms go quickly.

Truly lovely B&B run by Grainne and Paddy. Incredible breakfasts in a beautiful setting. They spoiled us! After we left, our daughter would say, “I miss Grainne” daily for the rest of our two weeks in Ireland. We loved Kinsale...our favorite town in Ireland but our stay was made extra special by The Desmond House. Grainne made wonderful recommendations for dining and shopping. Can’t wait to go back!!!
