My husband was trying to find a bookstore that sold books written in Gaelic and he came upon the Wren's Nest Coffee House. We came back the next day, for mid-morning coffee/latte and a very yummy slice of quiche made just that morning! Comfortable space, with some musical instruments around, wifi available, nice server who chatted with us as she prepared our tasty requests. It is an original Irish cottage with a lovely flower garden in the back. A hang-around kinda place! PLUS--blueberry ice cream!!!! OOTW!!!!
It was there that we found a book written by a local writer--John Ryan Grinsted. The little novella is called "The Year the Tourists Never Came". Lovely little book--just a little over 100 pages! I enjoyed reading it--a quick read-- as I recognized some sights referred to in the book. Pick up a copy if you stop by, support a local writer and chuckle your way through the book!

Great food served in lovely homely surrounding. Staff are friendly and helpful and the prices are reasonable - who could ask for more?

Good service, lovely people and inexpensive. Bought a beautiful scarf in there, even though I only popped in for tea and cake.

Just back from Dingle and I found this, " Little Heaven". Great tea and apple crumble and a real gem for relaxing. I will be back in Dingle soon and will pay another visit to the Wren's Nest.
