Our family have stayed in Kenmare at least 20 different occasions but this is by far the best place we have ever stayed. Exceptional standards and a wonderful owner in the best location. Abundant information on things to do locally, a beautifully maintained house. You won't want to leave!
I am so happy to be the 1st to review this place - I was reluctant to book it because there were no reviews but the pictures were so lovely that I decided to take a leap of faith and book it. We stayed here for a week and it was the absolute perfect location - just steps away from the main streets of town, but far enough away from the hubbub. It was right across the street from a beautiful park and just steps away from the harbor/dock. Lovely views from the master bedroom too. The home itself was impeccably clean, fresh, bright and cheerful and still managed to feel cozy. The decor was updated, modern and clean. Beds were comfortable. Great layout - the perfect size for our family of 4 - two teenagers and Mom & Dad. Once we figured out all the european switches for the electric, showers, water heater and such it was smooth sailing. The house does not have wifi - which if you're vacationing there but from Ireland isn't an issue - but being from the states we weren't expecting that. But Teresa the home owner quickly got us a wifi hub for a bit of extra euro and we were able to do some minimal email checking, etc. The house has plenty of everything you need including an excellent washer and dryer. Even has a nice patio set with umbrella out back where you can enjoy the greenery and flowers Teresa has planted. Fire in the fireplace, music on the stereo, or a movie on the TV which has plenty of cable channels and all is cozy and wonderful if you plan to spend an evening in or after your evening out taking in a great meal at one of the many great spots steps away in Kenmare. Grocery shopping is ample in town and just a few blocks from town at the local Aldi. I would go back to this place again and again. Loved everything about it and Teresa couldn't have been a nicer host.
