What a beautiful villa in a perfect setting. Karen and Rick were perfect hosts and so quick to respond if we had a question. They accommodated us so well and gave us fantastic recommendations for various services.
Catering for 4 children, 2 parents and 2 grandchildren couldn’t have been easy but Rick and Karen did it amazingly and with genuine smiles on their faces.
A holiday of a lifetime with precious moments and a beautiful view of the sea from every aspect.
All of us would return in a heartbeat.
The eight of us thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Villa Beachcliff. It was everything advertised, and even a bit more. Very clean, fully equipped, and what's not to like about two swimming pools! Rick and Karen were gracious hosts and were very helpful with transportation and a guided island tour. They certainly have our recommendation.
(P.S. I am glad to see that they don't spray pesticides all over this beautiful island villa, but, as always, bring a little spray to protect your ankles against no-see-ums.)
Our group of 8 were met off the Celebrity Summit cruise ship and taken to Villa Beachcliff for coffee and pastries and a short tour of the Villa. Rick and Karen are wonderful hosts and had pre-arranged for their driver Andy and a large van to take us around the island on a full day tour, returning us to the cruise port before the ship sailed. I will strongly recommend that if you're a group visiting Grenada - Rick has all the right connections and Villa Beachcliff is a perfect spot to relax and enjoy the view of two Seas.
This was our second time staying at the villa and it was even better than the last! Rick and Karen are amazing hosts - always very attentive to your needs and any special requests.
The views from the villa are breathtaking! Although it is conveniently located to most attractions, you could easily spend all your time there swimming, kayaking, and lounging about the many picturesque spots located throughout the property!
We can't wait to return! We will continue to recommend to friends :)
The property is unique -- gorgeous views, interesting design and architecture with an authentic "island" feel to each of the rooms. The beds were great and all of the furnishings were comfortable and inviting. Especially loved early morning coffee on the upper deck overlooking Prickly Bay, late-morning shell-hunting at the beach, lazy afternoons by the pools, evening meals in the outside dining area and nights playing Bananagrams, Codenames and Spot It in the great room.
Rick and Karen worked hard to make our stay a pleasant one, and helped organize the outings and services we needed. I especially appreciated the help with cost estimates for various outings and food expenses, which allowed me to budget our total trip costs to within $11 of actual expenses. Although we were all very sad to leave, not having a financial shock waiting for us made the return home less painful.
Tips for future guests:
1) Pack for a hot and extremely humid climate. We expected the temperatures, but not the humidity, which made some of us quite uncomfortable. Even the constant breezes weren't enough to compensate on some days. If you're parked at the villa (no travel to St. George town or other local sightseeing), and are OK with jumping in the pool every hour to cool off, you'll be fine; otherwise, you might want to reconsider a visit in late May.
2) The cost of most items (food, alcohol, taxi, souvenirs, etc.) is about the same as you'd pay in the US, so budget accordingly. Don't expect to find great "deals" as you might in some other Caribbean or South / Central American countries.
3) If you find something that's not working properly or needs repair, let Rick or Karen know about it. It's hard to keep up with such a large property in a tropical environment (especially one with salty sea air!). They are very responsive and addressed the minor issues we encountered right away.
