the lovely waterside seating area fringe the river, wether to just sit, picnic or eat your fish n chips, just enjoy, the fish and ducks swim alongside each other, from 1 side to tuther just a beautiful corner of bakewell, the lovely trees drape over the side of the river near the bridge making it more beautiful , 1 of my favourite bits of bakewell, you can cross the road and walk up the track and out onto the other road,

Take time in Bakewell to sit and enjoy then walk along the promenade path hopping over the bridges. Very peaceful and tranquil setting and the water is so clear you can see the fish.
Tip: grab a picnic or take away sandwich and eat by the river .... then have your tea and coffee later.

Scenic along the Monsal Trail following the river Wye. Worth also getting off the trail to walk next (and sometimes in the mud just about through the river).

I visited here as a child as well and I adored the walk by the river. It's nice to walk along with a buggy and there are camping and canoe facilities along the river which you can hire.
