“A warm, superbly presented and picturesque family home”
Reviewed 30 December 2015 for a stay in December 2015

Our first family Christmas away from home and we could not have enjoyed it more. The cottage is fabulous, very cosy, superbly presented and set in a wonderful spot alongside the lock and walking distance to the beautiful Bradford on Avon.

Everything you need is available both inside the cottage (lovely welcome pack too) and locally, with Bath a 15 min drive away.

We cannot recommend this cottage highly enough.

“Fantastic picturesque cottage in beautiful village!”
Reviewed 16 November 2015 for a stay in October 2015

We stayed at Lock Quay 4 days in October and it was one of our best times on a two week vacation through the UK. We were a extended family of 8 with 7 adults and one 9 yr old and the house was well able to accommodate us . The kitchen is a fantastic size when cooking for a larger group and had all the dishware etc you would need. There was a lovely welcome basket of goodies on our arrival . The location is superb with a 3 min walk to the train (which we took into Bath) and 5 min walk to the grocery. We rented bikes from the shop across from the house and packed a picnic for an 11 km ride down the lock and back. (easy riding no hills) . The village itself is rich with beautiful old buildings ,bridges and narrow streets not to mention the river Avon and the Lock. Would highly recommend with wonderful house to come home to after a day adventuring and enjoy a nice fire, glass of wine and time to talk over the days fun. This beats any hotel ! Bonus features it has two parking spots ! and a lovely outdoor area . Close to great pub eats on the days you don't want to cook !

“Brilliant cottage”

We stayed here for a weekend and the photos don't do it justice.
There were 10 of us which i had thought might be a bit cosy but when we got there the cottage was really spacious and spotlessly clean.
The facilities are all really good and the welcome food package was very nice!
The surrounding area was very pretty, a pub on the other side of the canal which although busy wasn't very noisy and it's really easy to walk to the train station for a train to Bath (15 min journey).
The owner David was very helpful gave us brilliant directions to find the place and answered all my questions very promptly.
I would highly recommend this cottage and will be keeping it in mind for any future visits to the bath/bradford on avon area.

“beautiful cottage in lovely location”

The cottage is exactly as described, with lots of added extras. The owners have thought of everything. A welcome pack of bread butter cereal cake and milk was a lovely touch and the cottage was equipped with everything you could possibly need. The children loved the dolls house and lego to play with as well as lots of other toys. There were lots of adult board games too as well as sky tv. The garden has a large table and bbq and there is a lovely country park opposite with childrens playgrounds, picnic areas and craft shops. It was lovely to watch the boats going in and out of the lock and the children loved feeding the families of ducks . Ideal location for visiting Bath and Longleat.

“Fantastic large family home from home”

This large cottage was very spacious and well equipped including toys and DVD's for both children and adults. The location was superb next to the canal and centrally placed for all the amenities of Bradford on Avon. We particularly appreciated the nice touch of providing a starter pack of food for our first night.
The furnishings and fittings were excellent and any minor problems were very quickly fixed by the owner.
