“Simple Fantastic!”

Joanne has a great eye for interior design. The Lodge was better than the brouchure suggested and we were luckily enough to have a little tour of the cottage next door, which is also very nice!

The communication before our arrival was excellent and our Tesco's shop was delivered and packed away before our arrival.
Upon arrival Joanne was there to greet us and the welcome pack, which included scones, cream cakes is a lovely little touch and much appreciated.

All the rooms, bedrooms, were more than ample for our party and the Loft room was brilliant. We spent most of our evenings up there. The house is great for entertaining, as we did on New Years Eve. We used the BBQ in the garden and the Loft space to see in the New Year with our Family who live locally.

We didn't have the chance to visit much of the local attractions as we were busy doing the Family thing. However knowing the area pretty well. The house is well situated for the Restaurants and Bars in town, as well as the local attractions such Dunluce Castle and the Beach. If you love Golf, then you are well placed for the courses at Portrush and Portstewart.

We would definitely return and are hoping so for the end of the summer, beginning of autumn. However if I return before, with my golfing buddies, then I would seriously consider staying here.

“Five Star Accommodation, so comfortable it was hard to leave the house.”

We stayed at Fairmount Coast Lodge for four nights. We were a large party, myself, husband, two young daughters, my mother and my sister.

We were delighted to find that the brouchure did not lie. The attention to detail in the house was second to none. The kitchen was well equipped and we found ourselves wanting for nothing. The living room and bedrooms were all very comfortable and clean.

However, the best part of the house is the 'breakout' room at the top of the house. It was airy, spacious and we could even see the sea. Our children spent most of their time up there in the morning and we would retire to it in the evening. It gave the house an extra dimension. We loved it.

The house is located around a ten minute walk into Portrush town with its amusements, restaurtants and beaches.

You can drive to local sights such as Dunluce Castle, The Giant's Causeway and the Carrick a-Rede Rope Bridge in about 20 minutes or so depending on traffic.

The house was that comfortable and spacious that we found it hard to leave and we were happy to return.

I would definitely recommend this house to people with young children who would like to take some of their extended family on holiday with them. Plenty of room for all.

“A little piece of Heaven- beautiful & spacious home with a welcoming host!”

We visited Fairmount Coast Lodge in Sept. with three generations of family who had traveled from Manitoba, Canada. We had found this gem online and the entire experience from booking until arrival and the stay was nothing but positive. We did have a bit of trouble finding the address but most likely was our issue.

Upon arrival we were all impressed - Joanne had gone above and beyond with lovely flower arrangement in dining room and fridge stocked with everything we would need for first night and morning and more.. Lots of space and bathrooms for our 7 adults and 4 month old child. Clean and well equipped accommodations and perfect base for touring the Antrim Coast and much of the North. We drove to Londonderry, Fermanagh and of course the Giant's Causeway and Dunluce Castle and all the wonderful places in between.

We loved our time in Portrush when we called Fairmount Coast Lodge "home" and can't wait until our return visit - maybe 2012.

“Better than great - quite simply outstanding!”

A spotless house with every item and luxury you could possibly want or need to enjoy an excellent 5 star experience.
From a friendly and efficent booking to a delightful welcome pack, you quickly realise that you really do receive thoughtful attention to detail.
Ample space to entertain, relax and feel pampered.
Close to many attractions and a short walk to a stunning beach, grocery stores and places to eat and drink, there was a wealth of well-informed information to hand to help you decide.
As one of four teachers from a college in Germany, we travel a lot with groups of students. We placed our students in a nearby property which also had a five star rating. Our entire group rated Fairmount well above five stars.
We hope to return. Our only fear is that, once better known, this lodge will be fully booked all year round.
