This is a lovely area to walk your dog.

You park in a free car park that lies half way up the hill on the road between Streatly and Sharpenhoe. From there you can walk towards Barton Le Clay or decide to cross the road and walk towards Harlington, the walk to Harlington is far better in my opinion and people do not go that way for some reason.

It's not as nice as the Barton Springs but its still lovely dog walking countryside.

Easy car park, and lots of easy walks. Some are through the beech woods with long views over the fields and villages below. There are also wide fenced off routes around the edges of fields making a varied and easy range of walks of different distances. Next time we will walk along the ridge from the path which leaves the other side of the road from the car park. (Free).

Absolutely love this place. There's various walks, varying in length, that can be taken around the gorgeous countryside. Views from the top of the Clappers are stunning, you can see for miles.

I kept driving past the sign for The Clappers and could see the hill, as the rest of the area is pretty flat. So one weekend we decided to visit it and I am so glad we did. There is a car park although if it's busy you might struggle to find a space. There are a few different walks around the Clappers and we took the one up to the woodlands, it was truly stunning area with outstanding views over the home counties. Well worth a visit and a great picnic spot.

I really love visiting Sharpenhoe Clappers. Situated on top of a hill there are magnificent views of the local countryside.

Another thing I enjoy is the seeing all the carvings from years gone by and wondering about the people mentioned in them.

Great for a summer evening's wander.
