“The perfect place for relaxation”
Reviewed 18 March 2017 for a stay in March 2017

We stayed at Dean Hall, South East Wing for 5 days in March 2017. The accommodation was excellent with everything that you could possibly need. The grounds are beautiful and Pauline and James are very good hosts. You arrive with a bottle of wine and milk in the fridge, home made cake, jams, marmalade which was great after a long journey. There are plenty of things to do in the area, local walks. You do need a car to go out and about.
For us this was a great find.

“Beautiful location, lovely house and very helpful and friendly owners.”
Reviewed 30 August 2016 for a stay in August 2016

We spent a fantastic week here in August 2016. The apartment is a great size and very well equipped. There is loads to do locally and we really enjoyed spending time in the extensive grounds of this ancient and beautiful house.

“What a wonderful place to relax - so much character and history”
Reviewed 17 August 2015 for a stay in August 2015

We have just had a fabulous week at Dean Hall in Littledean. It was lovely to share in the history of this fantastic place. The accommodation was great - such spacious rooms - and the welcome from the hosts second to none. Homemade scones and a bottle of local wine to welcome us, then there was the huge garden for our use, with a lawn tennis court and BBQ. A real home from home with everything you need to properly cook if you want to - with the added bonus of fruit and vegetable to pick and use all week. We had to force ourselves to go out and visit the area as we could happily have spent the whole week at Dean Hall!

“Holiday with History”

Dean Hall is one of the most interesting places we have stayed in, full of charm & character. Pauline & James who own the property made us so welcome, inviting us to make full use of the lovely 4 acre garden & tennis court. The accommodation was really first class, very clean, everything you needed for a self catering holiday with all the comforts of home. There is so much history attached to this lovely building it was so interesting to have a snapshot of times gone by.

We would highly recommend the bike hire in the Forest of Dean, also the Canoeing down the river Wye is a fun experience. If you are a lover of historic castles there are plenty to choose from.
