“Excellent, quirky cottage!”
Reviewed 15 May 2016 for a stay in May 2016

Lovely cottage in an amazing setting. Beautiful beach located 10 minutes walk from the cottage - we had the whole beach to ourselves each time we went down and our four dogs thoroughly enjoyed it. Tom was the perfect host, very helpful and informative - always on hand if needed and even offered to collect us from the pub! A truly idyllic, peaceful place, perfect to escape the busy hustle and bustle of everyday life. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend the cottage to others.

“Relaxed weekend”
Reviewed 22 March 2016 for a stay in March 2016

Tom was a fantastic help as soon as we arrived and it was easy to tell he would have went out of his way to help us. The house it's self is great, plenty of traditional irish items tastefully displayed throughout (also some interesting ornaments that certainly aren't tradtionally Irish!!). The stove was also brilliant, we enjoyed sitting around it in the evenings having a bottle of beer or 4!

The Cottage is well positioned for those wanting to get away from 'it all' and wanting a truly relaxing break. The towns of Kerrykeel and Portsalon are not far away where there are shops, pubs and restaurants.

The closest beach was Ballyhiernan Bay, roughly a 2minute drive. A fantastic clean beach which we had almost to ourselves each time we visited. Portsalon beach is also great but with Ballyhiernan on your doorstep the need to travel is minimal.

“Wild and happy week!”
Reviewed 8 October 2015 for a stay in August 2015

Well...Where to begin? Donegal is a splendid spot, no doubt...And if you are ready for an adventure, that's the place to go. The coastline is a dream. We loved all the arches, caves, cliffs and beaches. And it is wild, I will say the wildest and the less spoiled area in Ireland. It is straightforward, with no pretence...which was refreshing. Tonbane Glebe cottage is the good base for all that. Children enjoyed the old phone, gramophone and different gadgets that decorated the house. Tom was more than welcoming and helpful. We had a great time! Hope to return.

We had a great short break in this beautiful cottage. The owner, Tom, was very friendly and just around the corner if we needed anything. The cottage is situated in a lovely part of Donegal, with a beach in walking distance and just a short drive away from Fanad Head and its impressive lighthouse.
Cottage had everything we could want and was beautifully decorated. Would recommend to anyone looking to get away from it all!

Thanks for everything Tom!

Lovely wee cottage, clean with interesting ornaments/items throughout. Tom was very helpful and came to meet us and get settled in. The cottage is surrounded by lovely scenery, though it is fairly secluded. Gorgeous beach nearby and we took a walk to the local 'shebeen' where every one was very friendly. Lovely wee spot to get away from it all, we wish we had stayed longer!
