I couldn’t praise this lovely little pub anymore. They offer a great variety of meals and a small appetite option. The food was all cooked perfectly and the chips are very yummy. (I’m not a massive lover of chips but these I would have again and again). The service was extremely good, the staff were very polite. The children’s menu was perfect for them lots of choice for fussy children.
I would recommend this lovely pub without hesitation.

The portions here are substantial and the meals are good value. It’s a friendly family run pub and well positioned for a pit stop lunch. The ham, eggs and chips was good although the chips might have been crisper. The ham was excellent. There’s an outside area for smokers. Lots of parking.

Good food, cosy atmosphere, not too expensive. Excellent friendly service. A great change from a chain pub” we always enjoy our return visits.

We phoned and booked a table for 6 an hour before we visited and were fitted in no problem on a Saturday evening. The pub had a lovely atmosphere with friendly, attentive staff and a good menu. The kids menu was fantastic, not the usual choices and as someone who has children who eat the same as us this was perfect. Our daughter had ham, egg and chips and our son chicken goujons and chips which were both polished off nicely. My mum and I had the chicken tikka masala which was very tasty and had huge chunks of chicken in. My husband had a chicken burger and my dad the gammon steak, which came with egg AND pineapple and both were very impressed.
We all had sweets which were also very good. Good quality pub food done well, served quickly and all staff very friendly.
We enjoyed our visit so much we popped in on our way back from the beach 2 days later and received the same fantastic service even though this time we hadn't booked. Children were spoken to like real people and they even let them order themselves, our son has speech and language difficulties and the landlady who took our order this time took time to understand him and clarify with him what he said. Just lovely service. Thank you.
