“Fantastic base for exploring Dubrovnik and surrounding area”
Reviewed 4 October 2015 for a stay in September 2015

We had a lovely comfortable stay in Villa Scala and would highly recommend A6.

The house is very well located, being far enough from the main road to be quiet, but within very easy reach of supermarkets, bus stops, restaurants and tourist boats, which we used very successfully to visit Dubrovnik, Cavtat and the Elaphite Islands. It also has a great sea view, which a lot of the apts closer to the beach will not have because of trees and buildings.

The house is spotless and well equipped. We were well looked after by Mihovil and family - airport pickup, rubbish removed daily, clean fresh towels provided during our stay etc. We were also regularly supplied with gifts of home baking, grapes from the garden etc which were all delicious. The AC could be easily controlled to keep the apt at a comfortable temperature.

Mlini & Srebreno are peaceful villages with a couple of large hotels, and provide a quiet base from which to explore Dubrovnik and the rest of the coast. The only disadvantage we found was in the quality of the local restaurants, none of the ones we tried pleased us all. At the end of the season the tourist boats finished at about 6pm. We could have used the buses, but preferred to eat lunch out in Dubrovnik or Cavtat where there were more restaurants to choose from, then have a light dinner in the apartment. In the height of the season, though, there would be later tourist boats.

We would not hesitate to stay here again, or to recommend it to friends and family.

“The best stay in Croazia”
Reviewed 2 September 2014 for a stay in August 2014

Villa Scala has everything a guest needs, starting from the warm hospitality of the owners. We stayed in a large studio on the first floor, very cleaned and well equipped (including oven and washing machine) with a beautiful view on the garden. The location is very quite, far from the traffic of the main road but few minutes walking from the beach, supermarkets and restaurants. We recommend it to everyone.
