“RIght on the water near a small, unspoilt beach in a mulberry tree-lined lane.”
Reviewed 4 August 2017 for a stay in July 2017

It's so nice to arrive in Loutraki Port, to be met and taken to the apartment and be in your swimsuit and into the sea within minutes – a good start to a holiday. It's relaxing in this lane, with views of the sea and other islands from the balconies, living room and master bedroom. It's a good base to explore the island from and walking distance from tavernas, the local, small supermarket and bakery. A bus or hire car will take you up to the village of Glossa and to larger, popular beaches, some made famous by the Mama Mia film.
This was our second visit to the apartment where we are made to feel so welcome by the owners. We love 'ferry watching' from the balconies and having the option of self-catering in a fully equipped kitchen or eating out.
There is a fun canoe that can be borrowed and a cafe/bar a few minutes walk away where the yachts moor.
In other countries/islands, this enviable location would come with a very high price tag. Highly recommended.

Thanks for your kind words Miranda - it's so great that you enjoy this quiet spot on beautiful Skopelos as much as we do! You're welcome back any time!

“Greek Idyll”
Reviewed 15 July 2016 for a stay in June 2016

It has been more than a week since we returned from the beautiful island of Skopelos, We stayed in the apartment 'Ianna', which is alongside several other apartments, all with wonderful views of the harbour. From the time we arrived, we were made to feel welcome, stepping off the Ferry we were met by Yanna, and her daughter, Maria, who helped us take our luggage to our holiday home. I must explain this is the second time we have stayed in this apartment, so we knew what it was like. The building is set in quiet section of the village overlooking the harbour. If you are looking for hectic holiday, I would suggest this is not your first choice. However, if you want tranquillity, I would say this idyll is an excellent option. We had the choice of eating out or self-catering in a kitchen, which had all the facilities you would have at home. We cooked a few meals in the oven and the dining area is spacious with a sea-view. The two bedrooms are spacious with comfortable beds and plenty of wardrobes and hangars for clothes; the main bedroom has a sea-view. The apartment has air-conditioning included, which is a bonus on a hot night. An L-shaped veranda with sunblinds allowed us to enjoy watching the yachts manoeuvring in the harbour, with a glass of wine (of course), whilst still being shaded from all angles. The sunblinds can be raised for sun worshipping. I was able to walk down twenty steps and swim across the harbour, every morning. This is not compulsory, but when you have a harbour for a swimming pool, it seems a shame not to. I did avoid the times that the ferries came in, but since these are not frequent it wasn't a problem. If you prefer a beach, there is one about a hundred metres stroll away; this comes with its own archaeological remains of a third century roman baths. It is extremely quiet and you are likely to have it to yourself. Yanna provides a sun umbrella and lilos, beachmat and beach towels. Restaurants and snacks are easily available along the quayside for takeaway, afternoon snacks or full evening meal. You will not be disappointed. Although there a buses at regular intervals, and taxis, I would recommend hiring a car or quad bike to travel around. I am only writing this as I promised Yanna that I would, otherwise I would keep this haven a secret and continue to have a retreat for myself, but for those who enjoy the Greek style of life, reading, a glass of wine, watching yachts, walking, swimming and sunshine, I would say this is the place for you!
