I.my wife and our kids have stayed at Chapel House for 9 nights and we had a fantastic time. The owner is very helpful and easy to deal with. The Chapel House is very good equipped with everything you need for your stay. We love Brassington where Chapel House is located. Just amazing. We woke up and while we made breakfast and we saw cows close to our window munching on fresh grass and when we looked from the other window we saw sheep's. Our kids loved it.They just could not stop steering at them. It's an amazing location. The neighbours are very friendly plus you can find two near by pubs with a pretty good beers and food you might enjoy as we did.We also loved We also loved The Knockerdown pub which is pretty close to Brassington and you can not miss this pub in the evening because its covered with hundreds of lights and beautifully decorated inside.
You could not finish the evening with a glass of wine or a beer and chill by a lovely fireplace.
We could write an essay about this cottage and the location. We highly recommend this cottage to everyone who wants to stay in a beautiful romantic and peaceful place. We loved it and We will be back.

We really liked this place. It was a brief stay and we had quite a lot to attend to during the day but it was always lovely to return to this home from home. It was just a pleasure to be there from the moment we arrived. We never went out in the evening but cooked at "home" instead. The place is well equipped and, anyway, we didn't want to leave it! Lovely village, too.

“Perfect for our needs”

This wonderful house is absolutely perfect for all those who are looking for a place to relax and to pass either some quite days at home, enjoying the peaceful view over the small and picturesque village of Brassington, or to go out for some hikes in the region.
Overall the cottage is excellently equipped and all technical devices work flawlessly. There is a tasteful collection of CDs (a great mixture from Bob Dylan to Radiohead) as well as DVDs for rainy days. We really took advantage of all the travel guides, prospects and other useful stuff that are provided by the owner. Thanks to the heating, it constantly was comfortably warm and we could enjoy our evenings reading which was easily possible because of the powerful LED-lightning. The beds were all in a good condition, so was the bath room. Apart from that, free WiFi was available.
All in all, we were pleasantly surprised by the entire cottage where we spent a wonderful and easygoing week.

“Chapel house is a lovely accommodation with very good facilities”

The owner was very responsive to questions and delivered all necessary information promptly before arrival at the property. We were even informed on the latest retail innovation in the village (a milk/bread/eggs vending machine).
The property was charming and all facilities worked accordingly. We liked that very much. Location is wonderful. Very nicely located for walks and bicycle tours (once you are over the first hill). Two pubs nearby, both with their own charm. Good food, friendly people.
Mobile phone reception is not very good...but that's a problem of the village, not of the owner. Wifi is available, but at a cost. A small point of improvement might be that that is made clear on the airbnb site.
All in all, we had a very nice holiday.

Management Response
1 Sep 2014
Just to clarify: WiFi is free for things like checking emails and browsing. I have a limited allowance so I would only consider charging if this is exceeded e.g. with heavy-use applications like gaming and streaming. However, in the last year since I got WiFi, I can see guests are more likely to use the allowance, especially during the winter, so I am considering upgrading my WiFi package to an 'unlimited' usage.
