We had two nights in the apartment that the hotel rents out through airbnb on our way from N Italy to Geneva. We cooked for ourselves so only used the apartment and the spa, and had one breakfast. The apartment had two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a large sitting/dining room, and a small kitchen/hall, plus a small patio area outside with a table and chairs. The spa with saunas, hot tub and swimming pool is nice, though got busy on the Saturday afternoon/early evening. The breakfast was very good, though the waitress appeared a bit overworked and we had to push to get served sometimes.

If you book through airbnb, be careful to mention to the receptionist that you have prepaid as our receptionist didn't realise that one prepays through airbnb until I informed her.

The setting of Kandersteg and the mountains of the Oberland Alps should make this a winner.
The hotel, room and wellness centre are good the problem is with the front desk staff. The reservation process was flawed with no response to telephone calls and eventually able to get hold of somebody who could make the reservation. There was no welcome on arrival no help with the luggage and minimal information. The real problem was on checkout which was with the aggessive fraulein who started to get very nasty when asked to explain the bill.

Too bad i am pretty sure most people would be happy to chalk it down to the unfriendly Swiss but this is far from the case with no sight of a manager my guess its a rudderless ship with no supervision or just don"t care.

Go at your own peril but don't expect the friendly welcome that you normally get at relais and chateaux.

We loved our room - but the spa was on another lever. Great pool and several saunas and steam rooms. Even an ice bath if you are up for it! We booked hot stone massages. They were much less expensive than I expected.

Room Tip: We looked out from the front of the hotel and enjoyed a beautiful mountain and waterfall view

This hotel provides excellent accommodations in a fabulous location. The rooms are excellent plus the "extras" are very good. This hotel has perhaps one of the finest indoor swimming pools that we have seen. Each afternoon we are able to have "tea." The restaurant is just superb.

Room Tip: Ask for a view of the valley.

Stayed for a week and slept soundly every night. Lovely room 504,very large with balcony overlooking mountains. Excellent food, choice of meat, fish or vegetarian, great buffet breakfast with hot option too.
Swimming pool and spa were amazing, pool was so warm and clean.
Shuttle bus driver was excellent but bus also goes from the end of road every hour and the 3 cable cars can be easily reached.
Excellent holiday thank you.
