Wow! What an incredible state park! The campground and facilities were immaculate, the hiking trails were very well maintained and the waterfalls were breathtaking. A must see when traveling through central Oregon.

This place is beautiful! Definitely one of the best campgrounds I've ever stayed at. The campsites are well maintained and lovely, with lush green foliage. The whole place is immaculate -- the staff do an excellent job of keeping everything tidy and clean. The people camping there seemed very friendly and respectful (nothing like the chaos and slovenliness we've seen at National Park campgrounds). We totally lucked out and got a site that was nicely separated from others, so it felt quite private and peaceful. Some of the sites (especially those on the insides of the loops) are less private. The campsites at the end of Loop A have a little road-noise from HWY 214, but it's infrequent enough not to be bothersome. The bathrooms were well maintained and clean. Hot showers are available free for campers. The park itself is also lovely; we enjoyed the 10-falls trail hike and also the mountain bike trails. There's also a nice bike path for those who need something a little more tame than mountain bike trails. I would definitely go there again.

Hiked the 7 waterfalls loop. Beautiful hike and kid friendly. It was a hot day and made sure to keep snacking and hydrated.

This state park in Oregon cannot be missed!

1 day 🌞
1 state park 🏞
1 hike 👟
10 waterfalls 💧

The Trail of 10 Falls is a must see in Oregon!

Spring is the best time to go when all waterfalls are full. 😍
The 7.4 loop trail is a moderately challenging hike that takes an average of 3.5 hrs to complete. 4 of which you can walk behind.
It's a very popular area for hiking, so you'll likely encounter other people while exploring.
Even with its length, it's a doable hike for anyone and the best thing is you can always take a break or go back.
Most of these falls have their own parking lot where you can access with a short hike. Others have options that allow you to do portions of the loop trail.

Which one these falls excites you the most?

We were in Oregon during my birthday and Silver Falls was where I wanted to go and spend the day. This was a sisters/brother trip that my two sisters and I have tried to do at least once a year, along with our partners. Some of us are more outdoors-y than others, so my idea of doing the 10 waterfall hike went out the window, but it was excellent non-the-less.

We started at the South Falls Trailhead Parking Lot. We did South Falls (amazing!), which you start at the top and work your way down and under the falls. We stopped at the bridge down below for a family picture with the falls as a backdrop. We then hiked the the Lower South Falls, which you, again, walk under. Not as amazing as South, but still cool.

We then completed the loop back to the parking lot, stopping for a bite to eat at the South Falls Café and the gift shop. It's a good café and the gift shop was nice.

We then got in the car and drove down 214 (stopping at the North Falls Overlook) and found a parking area along the road by North Falls. We hiked down and, yet again, got to walk behind the falls. The three falls we got to see where all amazing. The hike is a bit hilly for us old folks, but it was extremely pretty. I took so many pictures and videos.

This is one of the best State Parks I've been to. It's a must see if you are touring Oregon.
