We stayed the first time in July 2020, and the second time in January 2021 ... both times, in such different seasons, it was ALL fantastic !
The staff are extremely friendly, helpful and professional. Booking and communication was great.
The food is mouth-watering. On both occasions we had the Chateaubriand and both times it was glorious ! The restaurant service was perfect.
The hotel's location is unique and the panoramas are astonishing. Be sure to book a room ''with Valley View'' and if you can, with a terrace, to enjoy the views of San Mortiz and the lakes below, gorgeous in Summer and Winter.
Last Summer we stayed in the Bernina Suite, a lovely & very cozy Alpine room with a terrace. In Winter we stayed in a Valley View room, but although it had no terrace, it was still marvellous, and the views from the windows were just as nice. We didn't really miss the terrace because it would have been too cold !
This last time in January we did the toboggan run from the hotel down to Punt Muragl station, 2.4 kms of adrenaline and fun ! Don't worry if you've never done one .... we never had either and here I am safe and sound. You'll get the hang of it in seconds. My wife, who was worried & hesitant from weeks before, ended up doing it twice !

Besides enjoying all that this magnificent and unique hotel has to offer, it is well worth it to take a set of 2 funicular & 1 gondola from San Moritz Dorf station to the top of Piz Nair. No need to ski, the views are well worth it all the way up & down.
We will 100% be visiting again, when and as soon as possible !More
