We stayed here for one night in August. We chose this hotel because it was not too expensive, but had all the facilities that we needed.
We chose a room with shower and toilet, so we stayed in the 3rd floor (no lift), but you have other (less expensive) options. The hotel was not too crowded and the check in was done in the restaurant, which seemed a bit awkward, as there were people having a meal at the same time. However, we understood that there is not an actual entrance to the Hotel, and the staff was really nice, so everything went smoothly.
The hotel is central and, if you go by car, you will have to park in the town's central parking a few minutes away (0,5 CHF per hour after 7pm).
The room has a decent size but when we went to sleep, there was a constant mechanical noise that bothered us a little bit: we couldn't understand if it was coming from the restaurant or perhaps the laundry room.
The breakfast the next morning was good and simple: big variety of bread and croissant, with jam and butter, muesli and juices.
The hotel is 5 minutes away from the Therme and if you decide to walk to the Tamina Gorge, you are already at the entrance of the pedestrian path.

Spent some days with friends in this hotel in the city center of Bad Ragatz. Rooms are nice and not too small, if you plan to spend some days in this area this hotel is a good candidate, Breakfast buffet is good and the restaurant propose some very good choices. Only drawback is that there is no lift, but it is not a tall building ;-)

We arrived to a ferocious lady who demanded that we show our ID. The owner quickly took over and the check in went smoothly thereafter. Although we are English we have lived in Switzerland for 6 years so we are familiar with Swiss ways.....this wasn't typical.

The room that we had on the third floor was spotlessly clean which is one of the two plus points. The evening meal in the restaurant was perfect too and these are the only plus points that I can give. Obviously these, for me, are extremely important.

The negatives are many. No lift and no porter! The room was spacious but the space was badly utilised. There was only room for one bedside cabinet and the bed was against the wall. There was no wardrobe, just some coat hangers on pegs. There were two chairs, which were hard kitchen type so the room offered no comfort. The ensuite was tiny, no window and no extractor fan. The shower cubicle was very small.

Flags hang on the outside wall and the squeaking caused by the light breeze kept me awake.

When the owner was not present, the staff seemed unfamiliar with everything. At breakfast I had to ask for bowls and on another morning I had to ask for spoons. It seemed very hit and miss. One evening I asked for a gin and tonic and I am not exaggerating when I say it took at least ten minutes for the young lady to locate it!

The hotel is adequate if you have busy days planned but not somewhere to relax and while away the hours. The location is good and it is probably the best hotel in that location.

Room Tip: Remember that there is no lift. Try to stay away from where the outside flags hand because they squeak in the breeze.

This is a small quaint hotel. The room were not very big but quite adequate. The decor was bright and the bed had separate bedding for each side which means no fighting over the blankets. The staff was friendly and helpful. There is a nice restaurant below on the first floor and for us the breakfast buffet was included in the price. It was a nice breakfast including cheeses and meats, many breads, jams and jellies plus fruit salad. I originally booked because this is Heidi territory and there was suppose to be parking - however I was told it was only a few slots so we parked a short walk away. There is no elevator so if you have heavy luggage you may have to carry it up a couple a flights of stairs.

A small, family run hotel in heart of Bad Ragaz with very friendly helpful staff. The room was small, but adequate, and rooms on the first floor have a shared balcony overlooking the main street. We had a small, private shower room, powerful shower, all very clean and well thought out. The breakfast was great, really tasty local breads, home-made jam. The location is ideal, in the heart of the village, near the river, and 1km from the railway station (or a 10 CFR taxi).
