We loved our stay. The hotel is on the outskirts of the village, within easy walking distance of everything. The food in the hotel was very good value and we particularly liked the Indian menu which reflected the origins of karma. The stars were the staff who always went the extra mile to make sure guests were happy.

Maybe it's not quite fair on all the other fantastic Karma properties but we reckon that this beautiful venue is now our favourite (since we started to be a lot more circumspect about air-travel [cost and eco-damage]). So yes, we trained it from SW England via Eurostar to Paris, thence to Munich with ICE and on to Schliersee via BRB. Every connection was perfect (makes a change, true). Highly recommended.
So, reasons for loving this place? Admittedly, we arrived in the midst of last month's awful european weather BUT the sun came out the day after our arrival, the temperature leapt up 15* and we were able to enjoy the best of Schliersee and environs - and there is just SO much you can do, especially if you like walking in exquisite surroundings, around the lake itself, up into the mountains, hire an electric bike over to Tegernsee or up to Spitzingsee - or take the BRB back to Munich (in our case, it was Oktoberfest!) for all that amazing city has to offer.
All the apartments are furnished to the usual Karma standards - ours was just perfect. The staff were fantastic (we were celebrating our 55th anniversary and they really spoilt us!). It is said that the inclusive breakfast is the best - we can vouch for that - delicious. The gauntlet is down. And by the way, as per the 'title', we're going back next February for the skiing - can't wait.
