We had a wonderful stay at Karma Bavaria!
Although we arrived at a difficult time, due to unusually heavy snowstorms causing travel problems, the staff were extremely helpful and welcoming, especially Andy who was very friendly and went to great lengths to ensure our holiday was comfortable and memorable. He even got in touch before we arrived and while we were travelling in case we had any questions.
We stayed in a beautifully and recently renovated family apartment. It was so cosy and warm (I hadn't been sure what to expect with the cold weather outside), very modern and had full kitchen facilities and dining table, which is ideal when staying with two small children. The bathroom was amazing with a great bath and separate walk in overhead shower. The whole apartment (one bedroom, with room for two travel cots as well as huge bed) was very spacious. The sofa could also be converted into a bed if needed.
The facilities are fab. We enjoyed having a warm mulled wine in the bar, and there was a fantastic playroom for the little ones which we made use of several times.
The spa /pool area was gorgeous. You can take children into the pool but we also enjoyed taking turns to go on our own. There is a sauna, hot pool, loungers etc with a lovely view of snow out the window when we were there. We treated ourselves to a spa treatment each and would recommend - very relaxing.
We had a breakfast and lunch at the restaurant and the waiting staff were very helpful and friendly. We also had a couple of lovely meals at a bar-restaurant in the town called Ratzkelker - definitely reccomend!
We weren't able to explore the local area as much as we would have liked to due to the extreme weather conditions but I think that just means we will have to return another time!!
I would love to see the lakes in summer and also go skiing another time...so hopefully we will be back!!
