We stayed two nights in this hotel situated up the hill equidistant from the town at the bottom and the Schloss at the top and in a very quiet location. The room in the main building was clean, spacious and comfortable but was under the eaves with only two skylights. There is an annex which will have normal rooms but the design of the main building which was probably some sort of gate lodge for the Schloss means that most rooms will likely be the same. The beds were comfortable and the nights silent. The owner and staff were most obliging and the breakfast excellent with one taken on the terrace. No possibility of a meal but many restaurants within a ten minute walk. The ambiance is a bit gloomy but a good view over the town from the breakfast room.

Spent three nights here.
Very clean hotel, friendly service and excellent breakfast with good range of fruit, cheese and meats.
Room is quiet.
Adjacent to the Castle and a 10-15 minute walk into the town, with minimal effort.
Free car parking available at the property and easy to get to.
Would definitely stay here again if in the area.

We had a 4-nights stay at this hotel and it was really great: big room, well equipped, but what we liked most was the location (ideally located in the park of the castle) and the house, very stylish.
Good breakfast in a nice "dining" room, maybe a bit narrow when all rooms are taken.
I can highly recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Rooms on 1st floor offer a nice view (garden, city or park)

The location is superb, overlooking the good preserved medieval town with all the red roofs.
The owner and the staff were very pleasant and helpful. We got great advices what to do and how. The breakfast was great and plentiful, we liked the buns with the grain seeds.
Quiet place and in walking distance of the centre of the town with many restaurants.
The hotel has also sauna and a beauty salon.

Room Tip: Best views on the side of the valley

Lovely comfortable spacious room, excellent location close to town centre and castle, good generous breakfast, beautiful dogs, friendly hospitable hosts. Very minor quibbles - no tea or coffee making facilities so have to wait until 7.30am which is late for early risers. Would be good to have a shower cap and washer in the bathroom.

Room Tip: Ground floor room No 21 facing town was excellent. Stairs to upper floor steep with a heavy suitcase.
