Perfect location, flawless meals, peaceful neighborhood, helpfull staff, rental bikes service, nice castle view from the room. Loft room option. Lemon water at the reception. Clean mountain air.
A must Stay!

This is a modern hotel on the edge of town, quite a stiff walk if you are on foot. The service is fine, the restaurant is quite nice, and breakfast was a decent buffet. The rooms are clean and tidy, with a decent bathroom. Overall the hotel lacks charm, so it's OK if you have plans for your visit, but there is not much to keep you there.

We stayed as a family of four with kids' beds in a separate but attached small room whose entrance was from ours. As such the hotel is good for families. The room was plain but new and well maintained. The downtown is about 15 min away by foot, which could be challenging for elderly with some steep hills.

The hotel caters mainly for German visitors, but receptionists all speak English and are very helpful. Our corner room was very small with 2 beds at angles, but did have a nice view and balcony. Appreciated the wifi in the room, which worked perfectly.
Difficult to get around this part of Wenigerode due to roadworks at the moment. Do allow more time than you expect to just browse round the little town, which is absolutely stunning and like something out of a fairy tale.

Room tip: Ask for city ie.castle view or front. some construction of ski jump going on on other side.

I stayed in the hotel for just 1 night, thus my review is only about location and "sleeping" quality. The location is a bit off center, so you have to walk down the hill (and the back up) if you plan to go to center without a car. Also the overview is not the greatest in some rooms, we were looking into a hill (like no view at all). As a "transit" hotel it was OK, but I would definitely look for something closer to city center if I would stay longer.

Rooms are clean and average, nothing to write home about.
