Arrived late afternoon and we were on our pitch quickly after an efficient check-in process. The village of Enzklosterle and the surrounding area is very pretty and was a good base for exploring the Black Forest.

The pitch size was good for our trailer tent and was separated from the pitches either side by a low hedge.

The showers, toilets and washing facilities were all good and very clean. The showers are coin operated - a 50 Euro Cent coin gives 6 minutes of hot water.

The campsite rules are no vehicle movements or excessive noise between 2200 and 0700, there were no noise problems during our stay and it was very quiet during the night.

If arriving on a Sunday be aware that no supermarkets or shops in the area will be open, the Bakers (Haag) in the village is open until 1200 on a Sunday and sells water, milk and essentials.

We have stayed here twice and both times have really enjoyed the car free camping field. You load your stuff into provided carts and pull them over the bridge to your pitch - the kids loved this. The site, even when full. has plenty of space to cook, eat and for the kids to play. There is a small children's play park and a shallow stream runs through the field which the kids played in for hours. The facilities are clean and plentiful. There are bike and walking trails in the immediate area as well as a high ropes course.

We spent a very enjoyable time in the Black Forest with a night here enjoying a small village environment. The trip advisor reviews were reliable about the bakery, butchery and small store. Cafe am kurhaus was under renovation so can't vouch for the cake. The facilities were clean and the proprietor friendly and helpful. Would be good in the summer for a longer stay as right on the bus route to Bad Wildbad and lots to do in the area.

This is a nice site set in a field in a little town surrounded by beautiful Black Forest countryside. It's small and when we visited, in August, it was very busy. The atmosphere is pleasant and the owners very personable. Facilities are good too. Compared to other more rural sites we've been to there wasn't much space for the kids to roam (the site we'd left the night before we arrived was big and great for adventuring and the kids felt a bit constrained in the smaller setting) but there are fantastic walks nearly and you are never far from the vastness of the forest. There are some decent restaurants within walking distance too and the food in the village is pretty good. We found the people to be really warm and friendly. The owners were very helpful too and gave us lots of tips about things to do (they were much better than the tourist information office over the road who were quite unhelpful). There are lots of fun activities for the kids, such as the brilliant treetop walk and slide at Sommerberg, Bad Wildbad, and the Barfuss Park (lovely though a bit painful). There is great walking and cycling to be had too. I'd recommend this site as a great base for exploring this amazing part of the world.

This delightful campsite is a true gem. It is small, with a stream running through it , beautiful views into the Black Forest Mountains all around . Great , super clean , simple amenities. Very friendly welcome . It was busy as we were there in July and the tents are quite close together, as is quite usual for Germany, but the spirit of the place is quiet and everyone was very respectful of each other's space . If you has little children it would be heaven - as there is a stream for them to play in, we had big kids and it was still heaven ! . There is a small shop and bakery in the village about 3 ,minutes walk away - fresh pretzel every morning - delightful.
Loads of fabulous walks from the site and helpful tourist information and maps in the village .
