From Quality Thai Tours. Got us on the train going into the market and then took
Us around the market and the
We saw the train leave the market. Great to see the action from both perspectives. Very neat place and glad we got to see this!

I took a minivan from the northern bus station to see the train move slowly through the market....the bus trip was about a 3 hour round trip but was worth it! A cool experience

If you’re into authentic scene of a local market, then you may consider to go here. There’s 2 part of the market: 1. The iconic train market & 2. The local street food market ( which is located around/ near the train market.

I prefer both as you may savour the authentic Thai delicacies at the local price. The train market may offer you a slightly higher prices than those outside at the local street food market.

We took a van from the bus station but it has many stops. Then from the train market we also took a local truck ride to the floating market. So it cost us a lot cheaper for the whole trip compared to using agents.

My advice, read a lot from others experiences on the net & plan your trip well. Jot everything down especially the names of stations, places, bus number and more.

Enjoy your trip.

Agree that this place is rare..
But..
Place too crowded and u see more humans with handphones more than the train.
Place is super hot and pls be prepared as it's a local wet market..

Second visit to this station. One advice is to plan for around 70 minutes from Bangkok to meaklong station. And search the train departure and arrival time so that you don’t have to wonder here for too long.
Good price for the street food and is delicious too... we ate at the side cafe just along the station
