Had a great week in Chalet Louis from arrival collection by Mark, George's laid back efficient style as resort manager and Jack's chalet management and cooking was everything we could expect. Also Amy who only came in as chalet host for one night gave us some great food and was incredibly good at clearing away as she went along. We also liked the decent standard of bottled wine rather than the quantity of quality policy experienced elsewhere.
Providing your group is happy with sharing bathrooms the chalet is warm, comfortable and should suit most. Not perfectly placed for the lifts but the walk to the Sure lift is only a couple of hundred metres away.

Chalet Louis worked out perfectly. We were a party of seven so the four double bedrooms and two bathrooms were a good fit for us. Our hosts at Zennith Holidays, Mark and George were very helpful and sorted out any little issues we had. Apart from a lack of bath towels when we arrived the chalet was very well equipped with everything we needed. The bath towels were supplied by day two. We chose the non catered option to keep costs down. The secret lift (not many people use it) is a short walk down hill and it takes you to the top of Signal. The other options are the lobster pot lifts (very slow) or two lifts that transport you over to the main starting area a Bergers near the Marmottes 1, Romains & Rif Nel Express etc. Great location in town, oposite the O Bar and the highest ranked restaurant on Trip Advisor in Alpe d'Huez... La Cremaillere. I would recommend this Chalet to any group of six to eight people. I was a little alarmed at having to pay the full weeks rental up front and the email communication could have been a little more detailed but overall a nice Chalet in a great Ski Resort.

We were originally booked into the Louis apartment but zenith asked us if we would mind moving to the one upstairs as there was a party downstairs wishing to book for 2 weeks and we were very pleased that we did. The chalet is very modern with great views and perfect to relax in after a hard days skiing . Ski hire is just downstairs or 30 metre's away by the tourist info were you can also pick up your lift passes . The walk back from the lifts is about 30mtr on route there are a few cafes / bars ( the o bar is an English run place right opposite the chalet ) . Our only gripe was the breakfasts as we expected a cooked English every day but zenith wanted to charge us 45 euro extra per person for this ( we thought this was out of hand as we had paid £5530 for the eight of us for the week ) . Jono our chalet host was fabulous every night he managed to pull together a lovely 3 course meal and his cakes were something we all looked forward to after a day of sking . We hope he continues to enjoy his first season . All together we had a really good week and would recommend this chalet but would like zenith to re think there breakfast policy .
