We’ve stayed here for last 5 years on our annual skiing holiday either booked independently or through Crystal. The Amelie is well located for the Olympic lift up to Meribel and is very comfortable with a great apres ski atmosphere in the bar. Food is reasonable and the rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. Staff are really friendly and helpful. Amelie is a great hotel for the budget conscious as it’s much cheaper than the resorts themselves and you’ll get your easy transport up the mountain as part of your lift pass. Last lift down is generally 5:30pm - don’t miss it or it’s a €50 taxi ride back! There is a free bus up and down on Tuesday evenings to enjoy the Meribel evening scene. We’ll be back in 2019!

Two of us stayed for a week at the end of January 2018 for the skiing.
A well-organised hotel, friendly, comfortable with good bar and restaurant, and very good evening meals. Convenient for ski hire and the gondola up to the 3 x Valleys

Stayed here for Christmas as my son was working in Meribel for the Ski season. Excellent and friendly service including a lovely meal on Christmas eve. Rooms are well appointed and spacious (I have stayed in far worse 5 star establishments)
The ride up on the telecabine is approx 25/30 minutes and very scenic. Caution - there is a bit of a slog from the telecabine to join the main slopes in Meribel.
The Hotel is located at the bottom of a steep slope up to the Telecabine (allow a good 10 minutes to negotiate this in the mornings - however you can rent ski lockers at the telecabine to cut down the hassle) All in all this Hotel offers an excellent alternative to the overpriced hotels in Meribel/Mottaret. Highly recommended

We stayed in hotel Amélie mid April, with 4 families.
We all had clean, spacious rooms (especially for France).

We were quite pleased, but we will not return in April. Why?
Brides les Bains is transformed into a village for people who want to loss weight. So, the menu in the hotel was adapted, and as skiërs, we were pretty hungry.
The bar had no more beer, coke,... because the bar would close after us leaving (the diet-people cannot use the bar!).
After we told the manager that we weren't following any diet, the menu was adapted, and thanks for that!

Room Tip: we had a superior room which was located near the 'river' ==> this is quite noisy.

This March was the third time we have stayed at the hotel Amelie and we weren't disappointed. For a three star hotel it is a very good place to choose to stay, The food is very good and staff are very friendly and helpful you couldn't ask for more, The rooms have recently been refurbished to a good standard. An honest opinion is it is a no frills hotel but everyone who work there makes it into a 5 star hotel for customer service.

Room Tip: Ask for a corner room
