Owner description: Since 35 years, the association Ailes Anciennes Toulouse saves and rebuilds a unique collection of aircraft (airplanes, helicopters, gliders and engines). Our collection, which is among the largest in France, has been collected and is maintained by a team of passionate and dedicated volunteers.

Ailes Anciennes is next door to the Aeroscopia museum so I took the opportunity to visit both on the same day. They have a large collection of aircraft but unfortunately they are stored in the open air and are suffering because of it. The restoration hangar is open to see aircraft which are being restored for future display in Aeroscopia. An interesting hour or so.

This is a must-see open air museum! The collection features many famous airplanes that you can see from up close. You can get a printed guide at the reception with many interesting information about all the planes in there.
Worth spending a few hours there. There is only the Aeroscopic museum near, where you can also take the Airbus visit tour. So, it best to spend a whole day in the are to visit both museums.

+Not well publicised compared with the a350/380 tours but to an aviation enthusiast or some one who just likes to wander around older aircraft then this is the place for you. Photography allowed, no crowds, helpful staff.

A wonderful idea during sunny days to discover a set of old aircrafts. Trully recommend to get inspired from the past and history of aeronautics, aeroscopia being next door there is always an opportunity for the ones who dream and believe the sky has no limits to surf on history. Lovely visit and delightful moments.
