Owner description: Since 35 years, the association Ailes Anciennes Toulouse saves and rebuilds a unique collection of aircraft (airplanes, helicopters, gliders and engines). Our collection, which is among the largest in France, has been collected and is maintained by a team of passionate and dedicated volunteers.

Right next door to Aeroscopia it can be overlooked by the flash appearance of that site. Ailes shows how surplus craft that have already bee canibalised for useful parts can be rehabilitated for static display. Some of the craft are rare and also show how things are constructed (from the missing parts). If coming to see both museums do not come too early as Ailes does not open until 14:00 hrs.

The collection is quite large, and although some aircraft have been partially restored, the vast majority have not.
In the restoration hanger, a team of volunteers were working on the SAAB Vigen and other aircraft.
Some really interesting aircraft on display, but could really need some financial help, amazed that Airbus does not give a helping hand.
Well worth a visit especially for the Breguet Sahara one of only three in existance !

Take care if you enter this place with kids, you risk to get trapped as Bill Murray.
Amazing collection of old planes, from WWII to cold war fighters, airplanes, helicopters...
The only pity is that it is run by volonteers with a very small budget and the state of some aircrafts is quite poor.

Good collection of planes, you can go inside their Caravelle. Some of the planes are in just fair condition. They give you printed information to take with you as you walk around the planes.

An interesting place to visit for everyone.
And if it's closed visit it by walking around out of the fences.
Old fighters Friend or Foe. Helicopters, the first A380 of the fifties with propellered engines.
