I've been at La Defense several times recently. When the weather is bad, asit often has been, I stay in the hotel or venture not very far away. When the weather is good I have been strolling down to Neuilly. Tonight I ventured elsewhere and checked out Puteaux. What a good move because I came across Le Sain Sert where I received a friendly welcome. Asparagus was on the menu and I enjoyed it. Then I became more traditional and majored on the cote de boeuf. This can be risky, a) because it is more expensive; b) because they may offer inferior cuts of beef and c) even if the cut is good they might irradiate it for the Americans. Happily, it was worth the risk as the meat was a nice cut and beautifully cooked. This was all washed down with a Cotes De Blayes which I found delicious. Would happily return to this restaurant.
