“Stunning holiday retreat!”

A wonderful two weeks spent in Grape Cottage with my family. Superb communication from Nicola (including accurate directions to La Blanquette prior to arrival). Friendly welcome on arrival and tour of the cottage, the hamper of goodies we found in the fridge was a lovely surprise and I enjoyed the 'bubbly' on our first evening! The cottage was very well equipped, clean and spacious, the washing machine was a welcomed addition as was bbq on the balcony. The pool was warm and perfectly located for all the guests to share, surrounded by flowers and trees. It is located near to Sarlat, but off a very quite road. We canoed several times and really appreciated the service Jason offered, taking you down to the river and collecting you a few hours later down stream. The whole setting of La Blanquette is just perfect, beautifully kept with lovely views. There is plenty of space for children to play, explore and have mini adventures along the woodland paths. The owners were all so friendly, we were made to feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. They have clearly worked very hard at La Blanquette and should feel proud of their achievements. I would highly recommend La Blanquette to families and couples, we have already booked to return next summer!

“Fantastic base to explore the Dordogne”

The cottage is really lovely and has everything that you need. The owners are so friendly and made us feel very welcome. The private terrace provides a great place to enjoy the sun and overlooks the beautiful grounds. The cottage is set in an ideal setting, peaceful but within easy reach of Sarlat and provides a great base for exploring the Dordogne area. I would definitely recommend Grape Cottage and also a trip to the Dordogne.

This is a perfect spot for a vacation. The owners are wonderful, and go out of their way
to be helpful. We appreciated the lovely welcome basket and excellent wine. We stayed at Grape Cottage for a week. The gites were recently renovated and are beautiful and done with excellent taste. We loved eating outside on the terrace. The grounds and pool are beautiful. La Blanquette exceeded our expectations.

From the nicely presented welcome package to the peace and quiet of the area, this is a perfect place to stay and experience the culinary delights of the area and the prehistoric caves and hill towns that are within easy reach.
The gite is very well equipped and the owners are a delight to deal with.

“Exceptionaly well equipped, comfortable gite set in peaceful woodlands”

We felt very welcome by all the family who manage the gite and surrounding woodland walk ways and bike tracks. We took advantage of the good value canoe hire on offer and had a wonderful day floating down the Dordogne river. The owners drop you off at your chosen start spot and pick you up again at the end of the trip.

The picturesque villa offers comfort and privacy in a lovely rural location which is only a short drive to Sarlat town with its many eateries, shops and beautiful old buildings. It is an excellent base for touring the many attractions of the Dordogne in all directions.

We have no hesitation recommending this villa and would love to return for future holidays.

Liked best: The private outdoor veranda and barbeque area. Also it was great to have reliable Wi Fi.
Liked least: Not being able to walk to a bar.........but there are excellent supermarkets a few minutes drive away to stock up on the local wines.
