“Peacefull, secluded, relaxing location with friendly host Kate”
Reviewed 21 July 2016 for a stay in July 2016

We had the most superb four nights at Attwood coppice. Kate is a great and friendly host, we found her warm and most accommodating. Our entire break was so relaxing and enjoyable. The setting is second to none being in such a beautiful and peaceful location. The pod is lovely too, very clean, well presented and excellently equipped.
There is lots of helpful information for visitors plus a selection books to read and relax.
we have already recommended this spot to a number of friends. We will be back for sure.

“Peaceful little nook in your own private wood and a loo with a view too!”
Reviewed 22 June 2016 for a stay in June 2016

This is a truly idyllic little hide-away. The little birch coppice is your own private domain and the wooden pod is a cozy nook with all you need to be comfortable whilst remaining in the midst of nature's beauty.
Kate is a gracious host. She made us very welcome and then left us to our own devices... exactly what we wanted!
The surrounding area is ideal for walking. My partner and I went out for a couple of hours on Saturday evening and completed an easy "figure of 8" around footpaths and lanes. On Sunday we roamed further afield taking in Drakelow, Kingsford Forest Park and Kinver Edge before returning to the Pod for supper cooked on top of the wood burning stove (there are a couple of gas-rings too if you don't want to make a fire).
I wish we had been able to stay longer.
We will most certainly be back again.
Thank you Kate!

“Romantic woodland hideaway.”

We stayed here at the beginning of July for our anniversary weekend. It was just what we were looking for, somewhere hidden away from the rest of the world, quiet, peaceful and undisturbed.
The directions we were given were so easy to follow and we managed to find the place without any problems. As soon as we arrived we were greeted by Kate who straight away made us feel at home, as if we were being greeted by a friend. She explained everything to us and showed us around and then left us to our weekend.
The pod is a short walk away from the house, close enough to walk down if you need to use the shower, fridge or microwave; but far enough away that you get your own privacy.
The pod itself is small and cosy, with enough space for two people to comfortably move around and not feel cramped. The front of the pod is all glass, so you get views of the surrounding area while you are relaxing inside. It is light and airy, keeping you cool during the hot weather, but still staying snug when it gets cooler at night. The beds are simple but comfortable and there's a curtain to block out the light if you want to sleep in the dark. There is also a compost toilet next to the pod, which is simple, clean and saves you walking down to the house if you didn't want to. There's a fire inside the pod to keep you warm in colder weather, however we didn't use this. We did use the fire outside of the pod though, which was lovely to sit outside next to in the evening.
The area is surrounded by lovely countryside but there are lots of lovely places to walk and there are so many other things to do only a short drive away. The local pubs are fantastic and the people are all very friendly. We also enjoyed a game of mini golf in Wolverley and a walk around the local carnival.
All in all we had an absolutely fantastic weekend and this is definitely somewhere we would love to stay again! We can't thank Kate enough for sharing her lovely property with us and hopefully we will return very soon for another relaxing weekend!
If you're looking for a secluded, relaxing weekend away, alone or with a partner then this is the place for you. You can keep yourself as private and away from the world as you want, or you can explore the local area. But if you're someone who can't get their head out of their phone.. Be warned, you'll get no signal here!
Thankyou for the lovely stay Kate,
Nick and Becky x

We stayed in this pod for 3 nights. The peace and tranquillity of the woodland it is situated in, and the actual pod itself made it a wonderful place to get away from it all. The facilities are basic which suited us, with a water tap near the house, and a compost loo. The pod is beautifully made and very inspiring; a pleasure to look at as well as spend time in. We cooked outside on our camping stove, walked, enjoyed the trees , sat quietly and when it go chilly in the evening warmed up inside with the wood burning stove.

Kate was very welcoming and helpful. I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants a bit of peace and quiet and to get away from it all in a lovely setting.

“Oasis”
Reviewed 28 August 2014 for a stay in July 2014

The pod sits at a good distance from the house, at the end of a grass track that is easy to walk but could be driven (I was on a bike). The only company are trees and small wildlife -birds, squirrels I noticed - with the leaves of the trees forming a green screen and restful canvas for quiet contemplation. The pod itself is a half-shell of timber with the front and the sides (partially) glass - that means lots of light! - at once airy and cosy. There is room to arrange the furniture to suit your needs - I did and was rewarded with the most amazing experience at night: the almost full moon went from peeking through the trees on my left to wander all the way round until it was on my right . Let me come back to the light issue: I cannot bear closed curtains - feels like sleeping in a coffin! - but if you need darkness to sleep well, bring a pair of those shades that most of us experience on long-haul flights. Don't bring ear-plugs - there is so much going on in a woodland at night! It is not a dense forest either - but light and fresh. And you are right on the edge of - well, Kinver Edge - and lots of trails and tracks with plenty of stunning views once you start exploring the area. Other amenities: toilet, wash basin and shower by the house (a little walk) - soon there will be a composting toilet next to the pod, but I did not miss that. Remember to bring a torch! And layers - woodlands tend not to get as cold but in the summer they can feel fresher than an open field camp site. And uh - there is a woodstove in the pod (all safe) - a live fire albeit behind glass - for extra warmth when needed. But before you go, be clear as to what your needs are. If you are a wifi addict and internet junkie, then leave that pod alone... Why? because you probably won't even get a great reception on your phone.
