Vico Equense is a small harbor village about 20min before Sorrento.

The hotel appears to be best of the ones available in the area.
The view is beautiful and the service good, and the staff as accommodating as possible.
They offer avoid breakfast. The rooms aren’t huge but comfortable. The only downside is the shower has a curtain which isn’t desirable, especially at a four star place.

Le Ancore is a boutique hotel set in a small working harbour with lovely views of Vesuvius. It has the feel of a large house rather than a hotel and has a lovely laid back atmosphere. Decor in the lounge and breakfast area is simple but done with style using blue mediterranean hues and wood. All the bedrooms have great views of the harbour and Vesuvius, ours 'the suite' whilst was functional with 2 bedrooms, good size bathroom, 2 lovely balconies, very simply furnished, clean,.The mattress however was not the most comfortable and could do with upgrading. Convenient location very close to Sorrento but away from the crowds. There is good shuttle service to Vico equense station and it a great way to get to the sights,There are a few restaurants in the harbour including the open air hotel restaurant (seperate from the hotel) All the staff are lovely, friendly, welcoming and extremely helpful but a special mention goes to Lucina who was all of the above and more, a real asset to the hotel.

We kept coming back this place during our stay in Sorrento area. It has a nice, laid back atmosphere, clean lounge with comfortable seating and great drinks made by trained bartenders. We didn’t notice any flaws at this place.

A friend invited me to this place for an aperitivo and I stayed much longer because I enjoyed it so much. The setting is beautiful, right along the water. The drinks were fresh and mixed perfectly (and not too expensive). I will definitely come back.

My wife and I stayed here for 6 nights at the end of March. The hotel was in a great location at the start of the Amalfi coast. A cheaper but just as beautiful option than staying in Santorini. The balcony views from the room were amazing, The buffet breakfast was great and typical Italian with cakes, ham, cheese, bread, coffee and fruit. The complimentary shuttle bus up to Vico Enquense station was a real bonus, short train journey into Sorrento. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, special mention to Lucina.

Room Tip: I believe all the rooms have a sea view
