I love this place! I've been coming since 1971 and for me this is by far the most pleasant place for family seaside holidays. One can argue about the architectural style (I like the quaint style of the earlier builds), but inside they are well equipped and up-to.date. The bungalows magnificent setting in the woodlands, the perfect golden beach and the peace and quiet are the perfect mix for a restful and fun family holiday... the offer is of course complemented by the splendid things to see and taste around Tuscany.

We stayed here for a week, expecting a sport and wellness resort. The villettes were nicely spaced out in a pine forest, but ours had a musty smell and was actually not clean. The furnishings are old which we didn't mind, but it felt dirty and we couldn't get rid of the smell. Due to the high number of mosquitoes we had to keep the windows shut at night and it was unbearably hot, partly due to the ineffective ceiling fans.
On the plus side the swimming pool was lovely and never overcrowded. The beach was also great and never busy and each villette had sun loungers and umbrella assigned to it.
However the sports activities were not well organised unless you were prepared to pay a fee to hire a tennis court or coach. The communication of organised activities was so poor that it was very difficult to find out when anything was on. For example the children's football was so poorly organised that young children ended up playing against adults!!

Yes when you get in you wonder if the fare is justified looking at the status of the houses and so on but the conclusion is again the same, we spent a very good holiday! Fantastic for kids, you can leave them at the mini club or leaving them with skates and bikes playing around in the wonderful garden, good see and moreover the pool where again you have a nice pool kids friendly. All in all a nice stay. Animation is eventually discrete and in agreement with the spirit of the place with animators pulling people in a light way into activities; pleasant in the evening. Only minus Club Nautico and Mistral Restaurant, the locations has been inproved and you can enjoy a fantastic sunset but the service and price are not adequate to the location. We will come back again sooner or later!

We were expecting something different, so were a bit disappointed by the size and overall look of the "villetta medium": old furniture, quite tiny for a family of 4 (one of which a toddler)...IF we are ever back we'll go for a LARGE instead. Anyway there is something good and something bad to say about this place. Good: Lovely beach and sea, many villettas very close to the beach itself, close (by car) to san vincenzo nice little town, nice nature, nice swimming pool which comes handy when the beach is too windy.
Bad: Old look and furniture of some villettas, too many ants inside (ok you are surrounded by nature but they were far too many), restaurants are definitely too dear for what you get, (they made us feel like being ripped off most of the time), entertainment nothing special even if we didn't really care about it at all.

We booked a beach front bungalow so we had the great sunsets and step out of bed for the early morning swim. Allocated own sun brolly spot with chairs and sun lounger for number in party. They even rake the sand at sundown. Very pleasant paths through shaded trees to get to amenities of which there are loads - bikes, tennis, swimming, sea aerobics!!!! Two beach front bars/restaurants - we opted for the one without the raging crooner. Kids will love this place but adults can avoid all that quite easily.. Breakfast fab at veranda area. Fast food places and take away if you like that sort of thing. Best visiting by car but we came by train so the 500m walk grated as it was really 3km from station. Take a cab! We hired bikes. Town usual beach type place. But the national park beach was fab (miles of it including a family naturist section Entrance no.9). Late night ends ok but we tended to hang out at the beach restaurant drinking coffee etc and listening to the waves. Very clean and maintained thoroughly every day. Staff efficient and even managed to deal with my grumpy teenage daughter. She cheered up when she saw beach and got snorkelling in the clear waters. Beware the jellyfish.

Room tip: wifi a bit hit and miss
