Clean and beautiful room, lots of space, very kind staff that helped us with transportation options. The breakfast buffet was the best I have seen in any hotel - fresh, lots of options and very tasty. Highly recommended!

Spent a few days in this great little hotel in June. The hotel has been refurbished a few years ago in a traditional, but modern style. Room was fine and with a great bathroom. Lovely breakfast buffet and excellent dinner.Service, provided by Monica and Fabio, was more than excellent. Location is very good, just a very short distance from the pedestrian part of the village and with easy access to lots of long or short walks.
All in all a great little hotel, which most peoples would enjoy.

Looking for a small, family-run hotel for our ski trip to the Dolomites, I happened upon the Steinrosl which stood out by virtue of its rave reviews. We were not disappointed and like others I am reluctantly reviewing as I am sure it’s popularity will continue to grow. Monika and Fabio (mother and son) do an amazing job front of house making sure everyone has what they need and flip flopping out of German, Italian and English at a bat of an eyelid. The house (it def is a house, not a hotel) is spotlessly clean and costly decorated. Rooms are small but loads of storage which is vital for skiers and modern bathrooms with loads of hot water. Beds comfy. Then there’s the food - the Steinrosl punches well above its weight in this quarter with Monika’s husband and other son in charge in the kitchen. This is proper restaurant food, beautifully cooked and presented...and theres loads of it so ski very hard!! I am a vegetarian and there was never any issue providing me with a tasty meal. Fabio knows his wines and there is an interesting, well edited wine list (very reasonably priced) and we enjoyed working our way through the local ones.

The hotel is very central - a couple of mins walk to the centre of the village and 5 mins to the Piz Sorega lift where you can rent a ski locker and leave boots and skis all week.

Overall we cannot rate this place highly enough, excellent value for money and lovely hosts. We will definitely be back. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

This is the third year in a row that we stay at this great family run hotel in San Cassiano for our ski holiday. The family welcomes all guests warmly. The rooms are spotlessly clean, decorated in a pleasant alpine style. Every room had a TV, a very comfortable bed, a safe deposit and there are free toiletries. The room rates include half board. The breakfast buffet is very well stocked. The wellness area is not too big, consists of a sauna and a steam room, and functions perfectly. Afterwards you can relax while enjoing the wonderful view of the mountains. The dinner is splendid, every evening you enjoy a five course meal. The hotel is just a two minute walk away from the ski slopes. We highly recommend the hotel to everyone looking for a relaxing stay.

We overnighted in this beautiful hotel in San Cassiano, a beautiful little town surrounded by majestic mountains
The Hotel/Pension is rated 2 Stars but in my honest opinion it should be 4 Stars!
Immaculately clean, the family run business is top on friendliness, care and attentive, unfortunately it was end of season and they did not have the kitchen facility open but I noticed an excellent wine collection
We made use of the well furnished bar and the expert service of the "barman" one of the sons
The room with balcony as the bathroom was very clean an spacious with a great view of the mountains
We had a wonderful stay!
As for value for money, it's a steal!
