Just returned from another excellent weeks holiday at the family run Riviera. We greatly enjoyed having our breakfasts on the wonderful roof top terrace (new this year) with the magnificent views of the lake, mountains & marina. Excellent buffet breakfast with plenty of choice. We also enjoyed the traditional Trentino dinner & Gala dinner. Lovely well kept garden & swimming pool with plenty of sun loungers. Looking forward to returning next year.

This is quite a small hotel with a good friendly feel added bonus of a pool with garden and self service pool bar....pool towels obtained from reception at no extra charge.

We were also able to hire bikes from reception which were good ....not sure if helmets were available as we weren’t offered them.....hire of the bikes considerably cheaper than the other local hire facilities.

Our room although small was clean and serviceable for what we wanted.

Buffet breakfast had a good selection.

Unfortunately the same can’t be said about the evening meal. Always felt as thought you’d had a long day at work come in and realised you had nothing in for dinner so had to ferret about in the freezer for something. It was just food.

This was the only downside and didn’t really impact on our holiday

This hotel and position of hotel was absolutely fantastic, you couldn’t of wished for more friendly staff. Hotel breakfast balcony was gorgeous and the views were stunning. We were shown to our room at the back of the hotel, the room was small but spotless. Three star but should be a four star. The work on the hotel is lush and the pool area is relaxing. Loved it and would recommend to anyone, perfect situation.

Room Tip: Gorgeous rooms at the front with a spectacular lake view, however back of the hotel rooms more standard but spotless.

My mum and I stayed in room 205 for a week between 28th July - 4th August. We upgraded to a superior twin room with lake views which was worth every penny. We loved sitting out on the balcony overlooking the lake. Everything was spotlessly clean and beds were made each day, towels replaced, and water restocked in mini fridge.

The pool area is just across the road and also has toilets, hot tub and a fridge that you can help yourself to drinks. They are reasonably priced and you write your room number and what you have taken. We always managed to find a sun lounger, even in the afternoon so there was no need to get up early to get one.

The food is beautiful! Breakfast is on the rooftop terrace with picture perfect views of the lake. There is a range of breakfast items - bacon, eggs, fruit, bread, pastries, juices, meat, cheeses and occasionally a crepe and omelette station. This sets you up very well for the day! We chose between 3 starters, mains and pudding each morning ready for our evening meal which is on the ground floor. Soups & pasta are popular starters and there is usually a meat, fish & vegetarian option of mains. The Gala dinner held once a week on the rooftop terrace was also excellent. We enjoyed every meal throughout our stay and the food was presented very nicely!

Riva (The Old Town) is within walking distance. We walked on the main road which took us 15-20 minutes and you pass a co op half way to get the essentials. There is another route through the harbour and along the lake which takes a little longer but is definitely the more scenic route. Riva has plenty of shops, cafes, restaurants and ice cream parlours which makes a lovely day out.

A must do is a ferry ride!! A combi ticket bought at the port in Riva costs €20.50 and will take you to Limone and Malcesine and back. We made a lovely day out of it by stopping at each place for a few hours before hopping back on the ferry.

A beautiful part of the world to visit and an excellent family run hotel. The staff are all very welcoming and friendly. Thank you so much for a wonderful holiday. We will definitely be back in the future!
