I have to say this is my new favorite restaurant in reggio..
I am not even saying how beautiful it is.
Food, what to say... I am always skeptic but i tried more than 5 dishes...
Each dish was even tastier than the first one... Its party for your mouth and your taste buds ❤️❤️❤️

This place off the beaten path is well worth the visit. Only 10 minutes from the center of Reggio Emilia you will find this refuge. I sat outside on the covered veranda looking at fields full of grapes for wine or lambrusco, not sure which. A very pleasant atmosphere where you are warmly greeted by the owners and family. Marcello in the kitchen along with his brother cook delicious meals typical of the Trentino area of Italy. They are very proud of their cantine where there were 2 whole sides of smoked pork curing as well as other fantastic delicacies of the Trentino region. I highly recommend this restaurant and will be returning again in the future. I am so glad I found it. Compliments to the family for having such a nice place. A little piece of the Dolomites in Emilia Romagna!

unbelievably tasty food. One of the best restaurants in Emilia Romagna although it is located outside a small village in a very rural area. Cosy and warm place, authentically designed like a mountain hut, amazing hospitality by a unique family of very talented people who master the art of hosting and cooking. We felt at home and didn't want to leave. everything we ordered, from appetizers to deserts, was nothing less than perfect. Don't miss the hot wine in the end. kids friendly.

you are looking for something a little different, the 15 minutes or so drive to this Trentino style restaurant in neighbouring Gavasetto, a small village (suburb) of Reggio Emilia, is well worth it. Our group of five, each having very individual tastes, was well catered for and left the restaurant very satisfied, none of us having without any room for dessert (well, OK, we overindulged a bit too much on a lovely Panettone at afternoon tea time, which serves us right!). We had a selection of antipasti starters the most delicious of which was a venison salad and a platter selection of local salamis “Salumi tipici del Rifugio”, both of which were almost meals in themselves. For main course (secondi) two of us couldn’t resist the venison again and chose the Lombata de Cervo (venison loin) which was cooked to perfection and literally melted on your tastebuds. One of us chose and much enjoyed the “spinatspätzle” dish, which is a classic Trentino favourite. Two other dishes that were served were the “Spareribs ai ferri” and a classic Tagliatelle bolognese, both much enjoyed. The restaurant has a great wine selection and we chose a lovely Pravis Syrah from the Trentino, which is rather unusual for this region. Since none of us had room for dessert (or were just feeling guilty about overindulging over Christmas and New Year) we went for the Piece de Resistance of the restaurant the famous “Parampampoli “ drink. I’ll leave it for you to find out more how it’s served but it’s a great way to end the evening. The restaurant also has a great Grappa collection and a selection of wines from the famous Italian cyclist, Francesco Moser who has his own vineyard in Trentino. All in all, a very nice, fun evening was had.
